How much does Mt Smart hold these days? I know it sold out both for the NZ v Tonga game and Warriors v Wests Tigers matches last year, but there was a 5K difference in announced crowds (21K v 26K)

Probably not much more than 26k that’s what we got against the tigers last year and it was effectively a sell out

Thanks everyone. Would be close to over 20K then today? Can't imagine them fitting in another 5K, let alone 7K

Saturday night, 2 Sydney teams playing well, remembering one of South’s greats and you think that is amazing! 2k more than the C grade shit show that turned up on Thursday night as you described. If the Parra v Penrith game was last night it’s min 25k. South’s have had half a decade of success and haven’t been able to grow there base in any meaningful way.
I challenge you to take a 13 hour day out stuck on trains and at platforms with no services in the pouring rain.

Do trains work in Auckland?
They do in Brisbane
They do in Melbourne
They do in Adelaide

But not in Sydney!!!!!!

We get free train travel with tickets...only problem is that they don't work

That train signal problem knocked about 3-4k off of that crowd

Some supporters were stuck at the station (this is 6:51pm and some are still there), some went home, others didn't go out when they caught word on the arvo news.

The rain also probably cut a few thousand off too. The club was expecting 25k, but this bundle of factors combined to ruin that.

Systematic neglect to make the case for 'privatisation' which will essentially consist of the NSW govt paying the MTR far more than current costs for yhe privilege of running our train lines.
