The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Great crowd last night in Darwin, especially in that rain.

With the Eels extending their deal with the NT Government until 2025, I wonder if there are any plans to move the NRL fixture next door to Territory RL Stadium in the future.

The venue just had a $25m investment and with temporary seating can get to the same capacity as TIO (10K capacity without).

Sunday's match at Campbelltown is selling horribly. Most bays haven't been released and of what has been, it's moving very slowly.

Unless there is significant walk up or everyone who has a NRL players pass decides to attend, we might be on track for the lowest crowd of the season so far.

The sooner Wests Tigers make Campbelltown and the SW corridor a priority the better.

The bays they have released, they're only selling every second row as well. Looking absolutely dire. Such a sad state for a club that has the potential to be big.

Dolphins Titans looking to barely crack 20,000
I'll admit this is surprising based upon their crowds against the Roosters & Rabbitohs.

2pm Sunday timeslot against a localish rival, I would have thought be easily heading towards high 20's and potentially into the 30's.

Still won't complain about another 20K fixture added to the calendar.

Agree. They bamboozled us by holding back unsold member seats for so long.

I think that their marketing team will learn a lot from this. Their refusal to open level 5 and sell them as category bronze or red for cheap might cost them a few thousand, and not to mention the gate takings.

I`m not surprised at all. The Dolphins have gone loss, loss, win, loss in their last four games.
At some point when you start losing a few in a row, and some heavily, your crowd numbers are going to drop off.
The initial hype surrounding the Dolphins has dimmed unfortunately, that`s not to say they can`t get it back, but given their injury list it may not be this year.

Hope the weather is good for Magic round. It would be disappointing if we get wet weather, don't like sitting in the rain watching footy.

Out of 7 games they have played only 1.5 poor games, sit 4 & 3 when many were tipping them to fighting for the spoon and get one of their best players back for a local rivalry for one of the more crowd friendly timeslots.

For most other teams that would still mean a strong crowd, so for me, I'm more inclined to believe that either the baseline audience for the club is smaller than those first few matches indicated and either away fans or neutrals contributed a larger portion than given credit for and/or the selling strategy for the match has impacted pre-sales.

Anyway we'll have more of an idea tomorrow after the match one way or another.

Crowd looks solid at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. Lower bowl is pretty full, same with upper West & South.

East has empty rows, but it's not ridiculous. Maybe 15K?
