Bellamy side got hammered these finals. Really they should of went out to a severely beat up and depleted Roosters side. Bar a miracle bomb and a poor 6 again call.
Great coach but shows without the squad he can't produce miracles.
Nelson Solomona looked a shadow of himself this season. Hardly fearful. Storm need a few new forwards. Sides steam rolled them in the finals.

but i thought CB was the gold standard of the spit polish....

Seeing Bellamy talk in interviews at times this year i think deep down he realistically knew he didn't have the team this year to win a comp.

They got into the 4 by keeping AAMI park a fortress and being still too professional for the bottom 6-7 teams.

Are Penrith better this season? You have no Kikau or Api. So attack isn't as potent but then those two don't have the defense of Sorenson and Kenny who although played last year are getting far more minutes this year.

Staines was in the side as May was injured but now you have Turuva who is miles better.

These are the differences in the side.

Salmon, Staines,Kikau,Api

Cogger,L.Smith,Garner,Turuva

It's interesting to think about. Form wise I reckon Crighton and Spencer have gone up a level whilst most others seem about the same.

Storm have to many flaws now. I dont see Papenhuazen ever being the same. Meaney is great but not am X factor so although you have Grant and Munster I reckon Hughes is above average and not exactly a top shelf half. The forward pack doesn't have the grunt and the backs are just average as well. Remis Smith, Olam, Seve are just handy players.

They got into the 4 by perfecting the art of getting tangled in the tackle and slowing the play the ball......they just didn't get away with it in the finals

Broncos by 10-12

more speed, youth, they have the forwards to stop Penrith’s momentum, and they’ll target Luai’s shoulder unlike storm who did nothing

after 2 wins, the panthers won’t be as desperate when it matters
I see it differently. The Broncos have an inconsistent mix of brilliance and derp. The Riff have been there, know what it’s all about and will ultimately do a clinical dissection of Brisbane.

Penrith aren’t as good as they were last year. But they haven’t come back to the pack enough to just yet.

They’ll win by at least 30. Wouldn’t surprise me if it is a record margin.

More experience. Better defense. Turuva. You're right in paper not as good without Api and Kikau but the defense is stronger for sure.

I tend to agree.
I also believe that the Broncos defence is quite vulnerable and easily exploited at times, while Penrith's can be rock solid when needed most.
I can't see anything but a Panther's win.
However, as much as I won't be particularly cheering on either side, I'd rather see the Panther's lose, just so our 3-peat record remains intact.

The Broncos looked likely and were always the favourites last night. But I think they were dealt a loaded deck in their favour, which is their right considering their season form and consistency. But the reffing was abysmal in their favour at times, that won’t happen next weekend.

Agree. Reffing won’t be a factor. They’ll have the absolute horse shit belted out of them.
