Grade 3 is pretty excessive given Tedesco dropped so quickly and Simonsson was already pretty low to the ground himself.

Guess he’s being punished for WHO he hit, not how.

FHS. The responsibility is on the tackler. It may not have been malicious but it was dangerous, and his shoulder hit Tedesco in the head. Simonsson did not have to lead with his shoulder.

p.s.

Yes, I'd be saying the same if it was a Roosters player charged for the hit on an Eels player. I'm tired of this guff some keep putting up that its somehow the fault of the ball carrier.

Lol he didn't drop one bit.

The grade 3 by the way was careless, should have been a reckless charge.

Teddy's knees were bent mate... don't you know you are so supposed to run with straight legs?

Jesus f**king Christ they're off tilt with covering for officiating f**k ups aren't they.

Marata wasn't even worth a penalty and Finucane was like a a week or two max FMD

I think you missed this bit in the charge for Finucane -

  • 3rd+ offence last 12 months

That added loading to his charge. Marata was hit with the same charge and grading that Finucane was yet his penalty is 1 less match however he pleads.

Also Okembour's is the same charge and grading, but is a first offence. Its the priors pushing up the length of possible suspensions for both Marata and Finucane.

Yep that's fair, I did miss that for Finucane.

Still the guts of the point stands IMO. Marata's shouldn't have even been a penalty and Finucane could have got away without charge and no one would be upset. They're just covering shit officiating, again
