For that to be the case Hiku would have had to have had control over the ball first - which he didn't

He had the ball in his hand and it didn't come away from his hand until someone directly played at it and knocked it out. If his arm was knocked and he lost it that would be different. Only one person knocked the ball on and it wasn't Hiku.
