As a neutral the Broncos got f**king robbed by that ref, they didn't play well but there should have been a million sin bins for high shots, hip drops etc. The Rapana penalty was a absolutely absurd.
He took a dive

Took a dive?
Motherf**ker he had blood pouring from his f**king skull like a busted water pipe
The absolute f**k are you talking about?!

saying it’s not a penalty is one thing but a dive? Goodness f**king me. You should be an nrl ref with those eyes

i would have to say taking a dive as in diving down low would have to be what he meant, you would think.

complete and utter kneejerk reaction based on the injury. Terrible decision, and I dare say should that happen to their teams, posters just might have a different view of it, but that didn't lose the game for us, Raiders wanted it more, and it was probably the loss we needed just to get the season underway properly.

Worst call I've ever seen. If that's a penalty then how come Brisbane didn't get one for the head knock Tom Flegler copped? If "foul play" is reviewable after the play without a challenge then how come Reynolds staying down wasn't looked at?

Brisbane fans weren't booing Rapana, they were booing the Canberra players arguing with the ref off camera.

bullshit
Classic defensive fandom… they were booing the player who they thought was laying down despite his head being split open
We saw evidence of that in this very thread despite his skull leaking like a faucet

it’s ok, you’re just shit bags. :p

but seriously playing that off as booing the call.
Be serious haha

I was at the game, mate. Maybe someone was booing Rapana, but from what I saw, people were booing the players arguing with the ref.

Sorry, apologies. I meant dived to the ground, voluntary tackle style. He's a f**king grub anyhow Rapana

Flegler was making a tackle. If you need me to explain the difference maybe you haven't been watching enough league in the last 10 years...

People saying the Rapana knees to his head was not a penalty would have have to say Kris’s high tackle on the bloke that had fallen to the ground was also not a penalty. But there was no outcry from the broncos faithful when that decision was made

What about the penalty given against Kris at the 21st minute for the head high for the Broncs player that fell too the ground

Simply put, whole crowds usually don't boo off a player who was obviously pissing blood out of his scalp. It was being shown within the crowd as noted by their eyes looking up at the screen. They had seen what we had.
they weren’t booing Rapana. The stadium screens are not fed the same image that fox is - at the time of rapana being wheeled off, the big screens were showing numerous Canberra players arguing with the ref.

Source - mate at the game, and has been verified by others at the game posting above

That's karma for shitposting in the Cowboys' thread last night.
Fair play, enjoy our loss.

Canberra wanted to lose the stink of last weeks failure and took that out on us, well played.

Broncos pack was soft and preferred a pass over a physical contest last night.

The attack just needs to chill, slow down a few steps and play to their ability at the moment.

Reynolds/Walsh & Mam adopting this all in style of attack where we throw everything at 1 play (regardless of whether it’s tackle 1 or 5) only to lose the ball or score points won’t yield any real long term success. Will rack up some big scoreline’s against some sides who CBFED this year but that’s all.

On Rapana, he caught the ball and only lost it due to accidental knees to the head. Wasn’t a penalty but they needed a reason to give the raiders the ball back so the ends justifies the means. The on report is stupid and should be squashed by the MRC.

Hahaha this is glorious stuff, it really is.

Reynolds staying down WAS looked at. The ref and bunker were both of the opinion that he was a sooky little bitch who should get on with it.

As for the Flegler one, are you f**king high? A tackler gets himself in a bad position and you want a penalty for that? Do you even understand rugby league? Absolute smooth brain bullshit.

But we could do this all day, couldn’t we?

Riki was dropping elbows and forearms all night and got away with it.

Mam wasn’t binned despite jumping up to make forceful contact with his shoulder direct to the head.

Capewell hit Papa with a shoulder to the face, forcing him off for an HIA but wasn’t even penalised.

Hopoate was adjudged to have knocked on despite never losing control of the ball. The Broncos scored off the next set.

Kris was penalised for a high tackle for getting Walsh around the shoulders about a centimetre off the ground.

Kris was ruled to have knocked on for pulling the ball into his own body. Despite the rules confirming this is not a knock on, the bunker confirmed the ruling and took away our challenge.

I could go on and on. Stop blaming the ref, especially when he was firmly on your side.

Broncos fans must also want penalties when their defenders hit the oppositions hips and get buzzed.

Maybe our annual encounter with them should become a game of oz tag to make it a bit more palatable for their fans.

good win but we still got huge issues... our dummy half service is so f**king terrible. We had the broncos on their goal line with numbers at one stage and Woolford threw 2 of the most pathetic passes you will ever see and ended up losing the ball because of it. Our attack is hilariously disorganized at times, not sure whether it was cause Wighton was missing but we constantly have forwards going in as first receiver and then passing to another forward. anyway I was supposed to be at the game but fell sick, really wish I had went
