When we play Cleary I hope Edwards is out. He never makes errors and is a very strong runner, deceptively so. Edwards plays on sheer will and effort and that makes hime very dangerous. He is never beaten.

Teddy's time has come, Edwards is outstanding and as you say he never makes a mistake.

The state of origin is like a Chanel 9 reality show the coach wants a team even though he failed In the nrl if you work for Chanel 9 your a chance to coach like what has Fittler come up with other then walk on the grass in bare feet maybe that why teddy slipped over last night he didn’t have a grip on the grass with his toes.

LOTS of talk about Cody and Reynolds coming in. Seems to be popping up everywhere after Cleary's injury last night. it certainly ensures that the Game 2 teams are going to be even more interesting than Game 1.

I think Cody is an absolute must. Of course, I'm biased but what more can Cody do? How can you ignore him? He's in career best form right now and is easily the best 5/8 in the comp this year. He bloody well deserves it over anyone else. However, the way Fittler is, I think he's likely to stick with Luai and play Hynes at half, as stupid as that is.

One part of me would love to see Cody picked but the other Rabbitohs part of me doesn't want him anywhere near Origin from a purely selfish perspective. But let's just wait and see what happens.

Demetriou confirms Souths duo in doubt for Origin

Rabbitohs coach Jason Demetriou has confirmed that Latrell Mitchell and Cameron Murray will miss the week's game but are also in doubt for Game 2 of Origin.

Confirming today, Mitchell and Murray will both miss the game against the Dragons this week.

The former is still dealing with a calf injury that saw him ruled out of Game 1 of State of Origin, while the latter is recovering from a groin injury.

The duo are not only big pieces for the Rabbitohs but also the NSW Blues, who will face a must-win game against Queensland in Game 2 to keep the series alive.

Demetriou confirmed that the club's medical staff were in talks with the NSW staff, and a call regarding their fitness is likely to occur by the end of the week. The call could be delayed until Monday when the Blues squad is named.

“He is in fair doubt (for Origin),” Demetriou said of Latrell via The Daily Telegraph.

“He hasn't been able to run yet so we won't know more until later in the week."

"Origin is another two weeks away. It doesn't rule him out of Origin. It is just high-risk to play, as it was last week."

While Mitchell is far from a certainty to being selected, Cameron Murray is likely to be available for Game 2.

If Mitchell is unavailable, it is likely Brad Fittler will stay with Tom Trbojevic and Stephen Crichton in the centres. Fittler won't have an easier choice if Murray is unavailable and could go in many different directions.

So gutted for Cody. Although this injury is minor, and they're saying he could be fit for game 2, I don't think Freddy picks him now. If he's in any doubt or can't do every session, then the Blues won't pick him which is such a shame.
