I saw that Brothers team in the system this morning and I think if that had been the team Hills would not have won, but Pokia, Holani, Smith, Seve and Nasio did not play and it is doubtful whether any of them were actually eligible for SS finals. Jack Kenny did play even though he is listed to play NSW Cup tomorrow.

Clearly the complaints to the NSWRL at the grounds in recent weeks has generated some action. Both games today have an 80 minute clock shown for the scores, but unfortunately the instructions were still not specific enough as tries have still been recorded as time remaining so that when Mitch Owen scored the first try for Brothers in the 5th minute, it was recorded as the 75th minute instead of the previous error which would have 35th minute.

So Brothers led 18-0 after 14 minutes, and then bombed one shortly thereafter and then showed nothing for the rest of the game and Hills slowly ground them down with Dylan Marshall scoring in the 77th minute not the 3rd minute, to win the game for Hills.

St Marys recovered from their sub par performance last week with ruthless efficiency to win 52-0 in the Ron Massey. Again David Fale scored the first try in the 9th minute not the 71st minute and all other tries and goals need to be adjusted in a similar manner.

The same thing was done for the first 2 games last week whereas the latter 2 games had the 40 minute clock.

St Marys suffered some damage during the game, losing captain, Joe Vaegaau in the 20th minute with a calf injury and Hanna El Nachar did a shoulder in the 2nd half.

Interesting to see that the Blacktown Workers Club is commencing construction of housing on all of their original RL and soccer grounds

Not sure what the qualification rules are for the final series but when Wenty beat St Marys on week 2, Wenty included Niko Apelu and Meni Luke, who have played 13 and 10 games respectively in NSW Cup this season.

St Marys 40 Wenty 12.

Robbie Graham was unused concussion sub again. Keaton Walkington Meads always wears 24 because he is too big for the other jerseys and he scored a consolation try in the 66th minute.

Maitland straight through to Presidents Grand Final. Thirroul have forfeited their match against the Pickers

The competition could be meaningful if it ran for the full season with 6 teams from Ron Massey, 4 teams from Newcastle and 2 teams from Illawarra.
Or just invest some interest in Massey and Shield and get more clubs playing that. Longer season runs in conjunction with NSW Cup. The only time you hear about Massey is when Fiji get flogged by one of the Sydney teams.
