I have not been as invested in a blues game since when Jarryd was a decent human. I really hope that Mitch has a strong game.

Since his selection I have heard merkins on Fox, Bloke in a Bar and MG on MMM all say that if NSW lose SOO II, then Hynes comes straight in for game III. Yes they are not selectors, but this thinking affirms my suspicions that they are cocooning Hynes and see Moses as expendable like Pearce was in the past.

I know that Moses is resilient and will take this opportunity as is, but if the chin guy is not available for game III, I will be massively pissed off if Mitch is discarded and treated as poorly as the dozens of NSW 7s on the origin scrap heap before him.
He is a backup.

Chin is the 7 and nicho is the heir for the 6 jersey.

So like ja, hes there only if required.

And it's why he's expendible.

If hynes was put in and we lose, he will be wiped out from soo forever and they don't want to do that. He's too much of a pinup boy

And that's why there's narrative of he's a little fragile at the moment. Actually, i agree. He needs to step away for a few weeks

Moses is 28,29, he's expendible but he can also do the job.

I would actually prefer a halves combo of

6. Moses or hynes
7. Chin

I think moses can also play an effective 6 role

I hope moses steps up and kills it and it's on him now.

But every parra fan knows in the back of their heads, will he step up?

II hope he goes into camp, takes the initiative and works out plays with teddy and turbo and frizell.

Say to them, teddy i want you to run this line, turbo this line and liam or frizzell this line

Then he picks his option as to who he gives it to

There was 1 podcast i listened to and i totally agree can't remember who said it, yeoh goes up the middle with junior following him on the right and haas on the left, this will prevent the rushing edge defenders as they will have to deal with 2 massive humans who can also offload.

Then have moses and luai waiting out back for it

I reckon Moses will be up for this. I expect him to play really well.

I agree, he's matured in his game since he last played, and it is really reflected in his performance this year despite our record not being that great.

So who will be the NSW Origin Goal Kicker next Wednesday night?
Normally Id assume Mitchell but given his recent injury it may well be Mitch. Gee I hope he kicks his first one.

Just read a good Moses write up. Lots of quotes from Barrett and Cheika. Very much talking up Mitch's defence.

This is a good team Freddie and Brandy have picked. We can beat Qld. Just got to hope God is on our side this time. No more of those miracles going their way this time. Let all the miracles go our way.

There is no miracles, and there is no god.

That's the problem with your generation. You start crying at the drop of a hat. Wimpy generation.
I am 62 years young Pumpkin. No wimps in my day, I was a 10 pound Pom at age 9 when I came to Oz had to fight my way thru high school because of my accent. Where was the extreme left back in my day was I was being racially vilified.

I think I deserve significant monetary compensation for the PTSD I experienced a child and teenager.

Anyway go Moses I hope he guides the Blues to a win to take the game to a decider.

If Freddy was halfway serious, the halves should have been - from day one -:

6. Moses
7. Cleary

As if they're not NSW's two best halves?
That's funny. I've been on these threads before origin and everyone wanted Hynes. A few people including me wanted Luai. Nobody, including you, even mentioned Moses.

You don't want two game managing halves. Luai is the best selection.

Well the winning record and Cleary’s origin performances show that not to be the case

I’ve been saying since March/April it should be Moses/Cleary. Moses can play the running 5/8th role, and it gives a second kicking option which makes it harder for Qld to pressure kickers as right now under a Luai/Cleary combo you have a kicker.

it also means when Cleary goes missing as he has in 80% of the origin games he’s run out in, that someone else is there that can manage a game and run a team.

I take your point. I respect that you've been saying that for a long time. Maybe it's a knock on Cleary. If he for some reason can't perform at Origin level. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that someone else is given a chance.

I'm happy with Luai and Moses. Personally I would have chosen Burton and Luai because I feel more confident that Burton can handle the pressure. It doesn't matter though. I really believe everything will go our way this time. It will be 1-1 then and the queenslanders will panic and whinge. They will have to come to sydney to lose .
