f**k I think some of us are a bit harsh on Teddy. He had a stinker in game 1 but geez, he's been the premier fullback in the comp for the past 5 years and captain of the NSW team for a while. The Roosters game V Dragqueens (yuk yuk yuk! So funny!) a few weeks back, he single handedly almost won the game for his team in that 2nd forty. Game after Origin he brained it V the Dogs.

He's got plenty of credits in the bank IMO. You can't just drop him after one bad game. Gutho had a shocker V the Raiders down in Canberra last year.... Were we calling for our captain's head?? No, even the best have an off day. Teddy deserves a modicum of respect and loyalty. If he stinks it up again, then yeah, re-assess. He will be one of many, including the coach, who likely will be moved on before next year's series...

Teddy has been a great player but I’ve always thought he was a f**king hog, in the past he was still good enough not to hurt the team to badly. Now he’s not the player he was and he’s just getting in the way. The amount of times he was first receiver in game 1 was laughable.

Gallen & Bird both played more Origins than Hindmarsh

Indeed they did.

But it's not like there options who were dramatically better than them being held out by them.

Eels fans tend to love Hindmarsh, because he had the heart of a lion - but he was a one-dimensional tackling machine, to be blunt.

I’m not sure what you watched, but young Hindmarsh was a destructive ball runner. 98 thru to 05. Maybe It was that knee injury that slowed him up, end of 05. He was rated the best second rower in the world in his peak.

Agreed. I watched some highlights recently. Before he got arthritis in his toe he was dynamite in attack. A lot like Tallis early in his career. Hindy deserved a premiership. The ultimate competitor. Shame he's now making a living by pissing away his reputation. Matty Johns and Fletcher are a fraction of the player he was.

I know that, and I'm not trying to denigrate Hindy's abilities (despite my poor choice of words).

But he was usually behind Steve Simpson in the pecking order, and players such as Craig Fitzgibbon, and Ben Kennedy, were chosen ahead of him a lot of the time.

That's probably also why Glenn Morrison never gor pi ked, despite probably playing well enough to get picked.

My main point really was that James Tabasco is lucky that Freddy is a gutless space cadet - his form certainly doesn't warrant being selected as NSW fullback.

Different comparing dropping a player playing club footy - where you may not have the resources to drop an underperforming player - to Origin footy, where you have a state's worth of candidates in form to choose from.

Tbh, I don't care about the credits in the bank he has - I don't think he deserved to be picked this year.

Guys, I've been deep in the Spirit. Firstly, blessed be the name of Incorrect, who stood up for Teddy. Flesh and blood did not reveal it to him, but the spirit of God. The abuse of Teddy, Freddie and Brandy has been diabolical and misguided. Freddie and Brandy are two of the best minds in rugby league and they will be there again next year. The baton will be past on to Dylan Edwards, but timing is everything and the time for that is next year.

Two mistakes Freddie made. One was caving in to public pressure to pick Hynes, who isn't ready for origin and two, to pick TPJ as an enforcer. Lord, you will be our enforcer, and you will show your power by doing it through someone meek, like Tom Trbojevic. I sense a fire burning in that boy.

Lord, you've cursed Latrell Mitchell. He cannot play a big game. You've cursed him because of his cruel and proud spirit. You hate the proud. Instead, that great man of God, Stephen Crichton is in his place. You've blessed him. It's a double blessing because it will provide continuity, and instead of NSW running around in circles on the Qld line, we will be slicing through their defence like a samurai sword through a curtain. Freddie and Brandy will have studied their defence. They don't stand a chance.

Once again, I see in the spirit a grubber kick put through, that takes an odd bounce, straight over the head of a Queenslander, and into NSW hands, possibly for the winning try.

These are the words of the Lord, spoken through the prophet Pumpkin.

Hindmarsh was also as quick as a back in those years too. Then he slowed down and just became a tackling machine.

Listening to pods on origin:

The News Ltd one with Fatima, Mobbs and Crawley. Fatima says that Moses has been there before and failed to ice the moment. Didn’t we lose 20-18 and he had a broken back ?

100% Footy; interview with Moses; are you going to try and play like Nathan Mitch ? Did you watch Nathan's game Mitch ? Nathan, Nathan, Nathan !
