Actually I thought that the way that they questioned Brandy on 360 was extraordinary. Since when has the media been so blatantly disrespectful ? If you think back to all the pressers you’ve seen, journos always question in a civil manner, yet becuase Brandy was a Fox employee they decided that he could be attacked A Current Affair style and there was little he could do about it.

In fact it was so blatant that Rothfield and Reed were told by the producers to go hard on him, that they appeared quite nervous and hesitant. Obvious headline grab attempt for mine.

Buzz was always gonna ask about Hynes. The question about Best over Burton was fine. ..... Brandy got defensive and got grumpy. He wasnt disrespected. ... i actually think his explanations were fine too, but he was the angry agressor.

They talk to any coach "Billy, why didn't you pick Gagai" Billy bats it into covers by saying that they think that the other player fits team dynamics this game. They all move on. Next question.

To be fair, I don't think a selector should be sharing any information like that publicly. The origin coach traditionally calls players who are on the fringe to let them know that they are in the pool and perhaps what they need to work on.

Yeah I mean he couldve said we had a few options to pick from and Best was the "best" option. Read to suggest Burton couldve been picked says he just a QLD jurno and wouldnt care too much about NSW.

If NSW lose 3-0 will they still interview him after the loss?

The nswrl need a clean out. If they aren't looking at every available player at every position they just aren't doing their job. They should be tracking each player and evaluating each player over the course of a couple of seasons. Atm it seems like they only look at the previous rounds form and go from there.
