So
Cook and Robson hooker combo
Murray at starting lock
Martin to start
Walker in

I mean, I’m a dopey fan on the couch yet pretty sure plenty said these are key selections yet it’s takes our current brains trust until we’ve lost the series until changes are made
And I reckon Robson should have started with cook coming on to take advantage of tired Qld forwards

Curious take
I’d give him a 8.5/10
He has gotten better and more comfortable each game he’s played
Was v good and surprised by your assessment but i guess opinions are like assholes
7.5 for me. Did nothing wrong in attack. Defence was outstanding. Can’t believe the SMH gave Fox and Best such high ratings. Both good but f**k me, their work out of our end was average

I thought rcg was quite good. His first game back for us he looked stiff, his next game, this game, he went hard... Wished jnr would too
As big as Paulo is one of his best assets is his passing game, and I think Freddy is too much of a cooked merkin to work that into whatever plan it is that he doesn’t have. Paulo’s effectiveness drops when he is just some bartering ram only getting like twenty minutes.

Moses was so strong defensively. Credit really needs to go to BA - he was a turnstile when he arrived at our club.

Reg was great and proved he is an origin starter every time

Gutho is Gutho. Wish he’d got some more time.

Player ratings across the sites:

Moses: 7
RCG: 7.5/8
Gutho: N\A or 10/10 for his $10k a minute

Freddy should do the honourable thing and stand down.

At least go out with a dignity.

I dont think going back to the well with the same staff has worked before and will work again.

NSW need fresh ideas.

2009 we won a dead rubber under Bellamy decided to give him another year off that performance and got swamped the following year 3-0.

2016 the same thing happened with Laurie Daley won the dead rubber and then gave him another yead and lost another unloseable series when JT had a busted shoulder for 40 mins.

That's why he's not suited for origin and rcg is.

Was it really ba or some assistant? BA might've identified his defense needed improving but so did every poster here.

Did BA really get that technical? I doubt it

He had a few years at the Tigers to fix it and as you mentioned everyone knew it was shit. Took BA to fix it.

While I can understand the appeal of getting paid $30,000 to sit on my ass for 77 minutes, to me it would still feel like a slap in the face to be picked for Origin of all things and not actually get to play.

Why didn't he fix hodgo or fergo or lumelume or other right wingers?
Hodgo barely got a full offseason in and being a year or two from retirement isn’t really going to change his style or behaviours any great deal now.

Fergo, as with most wingers, are usually forced into bad decisions by the players inside them, they are the byproduct the system in place and how well their centre and half sticks to the structure. Again, he was also 9 years into a career by the time he got to us.

Lumelume could be a great defender if he could just keep his eyes on his target

I suppose 3 mins is better then 0.

It adds another Origin game to his resume/CV at end of his career improves his origin win to 50%.

Gutho's origin career will still be remembered for getting palmed off by Kurt Capewell then 3 token mins in a dead rubber.

Plus Gutho is a great team man he would be happy to carry the luggage around for the Blues if he got asked.

He wouldn't care.

Things like this sound nice except he gave himself his own nickname
