Johns, Fitz and Hunt seem most likely to be moved on, don’t understand signing Crossland when club has stated that a review will take place 2 Nov, could have waited.
Clifford is another likely to go even though at his best is better than Crossland or Clune.
Jones, Tuala and Randall likely stay based on games played in first

Johns
Jones
Fitzgibbon
Hunt
Clune
Crossland
Tuala
Randall
Mann
Gamble

On this years form do not belong in an NRL team with designs on finals. And we have given all multi year first grade contracts.
of that list i reckon a couple you would keep as backup who can do a decent job when we get a couple of injuries

Hunt is solid and can play centre or wing. Better as a centre these days
Clune is good enough to fill in for injuries, although he gets bagged on here, he did a decent job until he injured his knee which he carried the rest of the year i believe
Tuala is a decent backup winger only
Gamble seems to be our starting halfback, so we are just going to have to see how things go there

the rest we have to get rid of, medically retire them or pray that the super league wants them

Thats the issue - they are back ups, 25-30 on the list... and we are asking them to play key roles.

And I don't get this forum's love of Hymel Hunt. We have played like busteds all year and he didn't get a run - there's something in that.

The more I think about the Gamble signing the less I like it. A half with no kicking game.

I reckon Clifford will come good. He has had a lot to deal with which remains in the background.
Ponga will come into the halves from FB and take on the role of a play maker.
We need an organiser and leader though.

Hunt has been injured for a fair chunk of the year

I like Hunt, solid winger, but think he will be gone, coach doesn’t seem to rate him preferring Mapa and Tuala and signing French and considering Gagai to wing

but thats the point, they are fine to be 25-30 in the squad until we can find someone better, in my opinion, but anything more than that is the concern

Hence the problem we are currently in, they are more in our top 17 squad, which is really concerning as we apparently don't have much money under the cap

The fact they aren't 25-30 on the list and the fact we have no money are related mate. We have over-paid for most of our squad.

I'd be ok with the club keeping Hunt & Tuala provided they aren't first choice options. Hunt has always been solid and Tuala has shown he's a capable winger but should never be considered as a centre again.

If Gags ends up on the wing next year then that does open up some possibilities at centre.

3. Gagai
4. Best
5. Tuala

6. Ponga
7. Hastings

8. Saifiti
9. Brailey
10. New Signing
11. Frizzell
12. Heitherington
13. Elliot

14. Please lord not Mann
15. Saifiti
16. Croker
17. New Signing

With the likes of Thompson, Sasagi, Fitzgibbon, Mapalangi, Gamble, Clune, Tuala, Crossland, Johns waiting on the sidelines?

How many new signings that are good enough to make the 17 can we afford?

I love how Tuala is both in the 17 and also "waiting on the sidelines" 😆

Wish Hastings well with you guys...it was a bummer to lose him from the Tigers. Not that I know too much about all things Knights but if Ponga does go to 6 I think you could do worse than giving Gamble a shot at FB...he supports the play well and is a tenacious and quick witted defender..has an occasional blood rush but that can be fixed.
