Yes and no. If the chasing team is trying to accelerate they are going to lose wickets. They can't pull back if they look like losing wickets, they may as well give up chasing.one of my pet hates,

Well, after this absolute joke of only having 10 teams for the 2019 and 2023 World Cups, the good news is that the tournament will be expanding to 14 teams in 2027, using the same format at the 2003 World Cup (i.e. 2 groups of 7 teams each, top 3 teams from each group go through to the Super Six stage, and the top 4 teams from the Super Six progress to the Semi Finals):Sad to see what has become of the Windies, but on the flip side it is good to see Zimbabwe doing better. I think the WC would be better off with at least 12 teams, but it's hard to argue against Zimbabwe deserving their spot over the Windies.
