Scott Boland has won the final spot in Australia’s fast bowling line up for the World Test Championship, beating out Michael Neser for the final spot.

It comes after Josh Hazlewood was ruled out of the match last week and the Queensland quick was parachuted into the squad.

Neser is the type of cricketer that would excel in England.

Will pick up 5/6 wickets a game with his swing and score a handy 30/40 runs in the tail.

Other than McGrath, Nesser would be Alderman like IMO in those conditions

He should play a big role in the ashes , Cant see Starc or Boland playing all 6 tests starting from tonight , in particular Starc

And we know Haze cant get through a test match these days without picking up an injury.

If we get more then 2 tests from Haze we have done well.

Boland has earned his spot for this game. He has been outstanding every game for Australia. Be a chance to see what he offers in these conditions before throwing him into an Ashes match. I think they know what they'll get with Neser, who will probably feature at some point.

We're not the reigning champions for much longer... :(

Should be a good one, and a close one, India will be devastated if they lost a second one in a row - again, we know how that feels too...

Chaps,

Chappelli speaks

And he is one of us, he aint no Harris fan either , no joke

..

"That's one of Australia's big problems — where they go for Australian batsmen down the track, because not only are they going to lose Warner, they're going to lose (Usman) Khawaja pretty soon, as well," Chappell told Wide World of Sports.

"The replacements? Harris hasn't proved anything, Bancroft hasn't proved anything. The best of them is Pucovski, but it's very difficult to pick him when he's had had 10 or 11 concussions.

"So, opening is a major problem for Australia down the track.

"But at the moment, if Warner makes runs they're OK ... I'm not bothered about the critics because most of them wouldn't know, but if you want to ask me what I think of Warner — well, I think he's a very good player, but like everyone else, he's got to keep making runs to hold his place. But if you're jumping up and down about getting rid of Warner, you've got to think about who you're going to replace him with.

"And if you're thinking of replacing him with Harris, then that's a joke.

Ian is correct.

Pucovski is miles ahead of the others. Shame about the concussions.

Had a break over Summer but came back for Victorian 2nd XI in the new year

Id imagine this is last go at it, if he is still going at it...

Only 25. If he gets his head knocks out the way, could be a gun right about now and the next 7-8 years
Perfect timing too, can replace Davey after our summer
