Already reports that trains are out of whack because of weather damage to equipment at Redfern which is affecting the North shore and Western lines, so the trip out to Lidcombe or coming from the west to change for Olympic Park will be affected.
I went to the Panthers vs Rabbitohs match out at homebush in 2007 during weather worse than this... deadset thought I was going to die more than once on the drive out there.

Parramatta Road and surrounds in rain is awful.

I would never drive out there on a Friday with peak hour traffic, i was planning to go out to Homebush at the start of the week and catch the train out but saw the weather report and thought i would wait till today to decide , after getting drenched just going to local shops to pick up some groceries the decision was made, i'm just walking down to the local with an umbrella in about 15 mins to watch it.

You have reminded me of when we drove to some of the games in my mates Volskwagen back in 1983, driving up to Penrith Park in pouring rain and also down to Wollongong where the fog was thick, we took our lives in our own hands back then.
