2024 Crowd Watch

I understand what you are saying as the west side at Parra appears to have a bit less seating than the west at QCB (both have all the corporates on the one side, but QCB looks to have a bit more general seating in the west).

i just went and did a count on ticketmaster and ticketek and the rest of the lower bowl at Parra is 16 rows vs 14 at QCB, and upper is Parra 27 vs 30. So essentially they're pretty much the same bar the north end at QCB which is only 1 tier. This is why i can't understand the crowds announced at Parra at times, the top tiers look very sparse for the crowds announced. I know people stand at the back of the lower terraces so it might be a lot more people in those areas than I previously thought.

I cannot wait to visit it when I get the chance, this year I was pencilled in for the Cowbs game but work got in the way. The old parra I spent a lot of my teens years at in the mid 90's as my dad worked up the road on weekends. As a kid that grew up in NQ, having the chance to get dropped off and sit there for 6 hours on a sunday to see all 3 grades of top flight footy was absolute f**king heaven.

I’m a wanderers season ticket holder, so go there regularly. When a crowd number pops up my general reaction is that they’re kidding themselves, although Parra’s crowds seem to be similarly deceptive, which makes me think it could be more genuine.

That said definitely try and get down here for a game, it’s a fantastic venue. The old Parra was a cracking ground as well, although it was worth sacrificing it for what we’ve got now.

Great reading apart from the usual suspect letting the competition down.

100%.

The games look amazing on tv at the suburban grounds. So much better than at that toilet in homebush.

.

Not even just Accor.

Take Thursday night, Realistically not many more would travel an hour extra to Allianz on a cold wet night against an interstate opponent?

So you get maybe 10k in a 45k seater, Better off this way

Broncos v Penrith in round 18 has been sold down to single seats since Saturday, and the Broncos ticketing person has forgotten to release restricted view.

In any case, it will sell out at some point. But people are missing out, and won't know to keep checking.

As for rounds further ahead:

Round 19 v the Dragons
- level 7 should be opened soon, but level 6 is selling much slower than recent games. Probably on target for 33-35k. Odds on to be our smallest crowd for the year. We're probably going to be on a 5 game losing streak for this game, and Walsh, Carrigan, and Haas will be in Origin camp.

Round 21 v the Bulldogs
- Level 7 is open and selling well. The ticketing staff needs to release more. On target for 35-40k. We really need to win a few games. Reyno is so loved in Brisbane that if he returns we could see 40-42k.

Round 25 v Parramatta
- Level 7 is open. Too far to say, but if we both start winning it will land in the 35-40k range.

Round 27 v Melbourne
- Level 7 is open. A Thursday. 40-43k. If we totally shit the bed, 35-37k.

Parts of the western upper grandstand has gone on sale at Central Coast Stadium and overall the venue is selling strongly. With fine weather predicted on the weekend, should comfortably sell out.

Unsurprisingly the Red seats put on sale at Suncorp for Friday's Dolphin's match (517, 507 & 506) have all sold out quickly. Interested to see that Dolphins are now selling Silver memberships onto level 5. With the Storm game being one of the more popular 'limited game membership' options being sold by the club, hopefully we'll see some decent attendance up there, as well as at the ends on Friday.

At Campbelltown Stadium, it looks like they've forgotten to put on sale a lot of the seats. There is only one bay on sale on the western side and the southern hill is not on sale yet. The lack of sales on the east make me think that it's not a case of the game 'selling really well', though I'd happily be wrong.

The Dolphins just really need to recategorise those seats in the lower bowl corners as 'red' and then open level 5 north as 'silver'. They are blowing a 25-28k crowd and will end up with 22-23kish IMO.

The Broncos giving away huge volumes of tickets in the 90s was helpful for building a fanbase, they should really be trying to entice people with much cheaper seats.

Can you identify the level of away team supporters at this point of the stats?
