The tight nrl ladder is going to see a massive crowd boom in the run into the finals120,333 from 5 games (24,066 average)
Only need 39,667 from tomorrow's 3 games to get a 20K average for the round. Hopefully the Dolphins & Dragons games can do that on their own.
Ticket sales for Dolphins v Roosters is ramping up. Western side of the ground is sold out now, Shed is sold out, eastern lower is also sold out and there has been decent progress in all other bays.
Great crowd and an even better result.
Sharks players aren't use to playing in front of decent crowds. We never let them down!
"Iconic" is not an overstatement for the traditional Dragons jersey. NRL aesthetics took a hit losing the classic Balmain and Wests Magpies jerseys. Would hate to see the Red V downgraded. Fans in the Gong might feel the same.I`m a Saints supporter of 50 years plus (I started young ha ha) and even I don`t mind the idea of them going full-Illawarra Steelers when they play in the `Gong.

Big turnout at Henson Park today.
Since SGI the alternate jerseys have used red not scarlet. There may have been a scarlet Steelers Heritage jersey used for Heritage rounds vs Raiders, but rarely."Iconic" is not an overstatement for the traditional Dragons jersey. Not keen on the current red model either. Preferred the simpler Steelers jersey from the 80s. Shades of SF 49ers. Plus, there's now another NRL team in predominantly red kit.
Yeah, even today the sight of that old jersey from way back when (without all the advertising all over it) still stirs something in me every time I see it."Iconic" is not an overstatement for the traditional Dragons jersey
In the early 90`s I went to Peter Wynn`s sport store in Parramatta determined to get me one of those old Magpie jumpers with the Victor sign across the front, they had none so I settled on a Bears` Avco one, it`s falling apart but I still wear it today, HST I`ve stopped wearing it to town because I`m sick of being yelled at every 5 minutes " go the Bears " or "up the Bears" and that was before the Perth thing even got a mention, christ knows what it would be like now.NRL aesthetics took a hit losing the classic Balmain and Wests Magpies jerseys.
the impressive thing to me, is that the sold out sideline tickets are $500 eachLas Vegas update:
Seems that all the supporter bays will be sold out, which within the first few days of going on sale is tracking better than last year. Hopeful that by Jan next year we'll see the whole stadium opened up with tickets to be sold.
