Holmes getting binned while Klemmer cruises along is plain as day bunker game manipulation.

Klemmer's suspension while deserved, is cold comfort for having enduring this corruption of gameplay.

Good to see Payten place it firmly in front of the NRLs dumbstruck faces.

I’m talking purely on grading from the MRC

their own rules state they have to take injury into consideration. In what world is a tackle that doesn’t injure someone, more dangerous then one that rules a guy out for 6-8 weeks?
Well the key words here are risk and potential, with regards to injury. Risk doesn't always eventuate. The risk for Klemmers tackle resulting in injury being higher than Holmes doesn't guarantee that Klemmer will cause an injury and Holmes won't. I know Tigers get it rough sometimes but imo these gradings were correct given Dearden's contribution to the Holmes tackle.

In origin selection week? Good luck.

It’s never consistent, but you can be sure to see bafflingly inconsistent decisions even more around Origin.

Garry Jack ended a player's career with a late and high tackle back in the 80s a week before origin. Nothing. No charge. Nobody even talked about it. Maybe a little article in the paper.

Origin is the scrounge of the game.

So, you're stuck in the 80s?

I disagree however understand where youre coming from appreciate a thought out response. I dont know why so many find it difficult to have a constructive conversation when they have differing views.

The NRL have a bad habit of making the simple things really really complicated.

It's almost as if they love the controversy.....

Ofahengaue not being charged is a decision made purely for optics.

Like when your partner makes a decision you disagree with but you back them for unity's sake.

It was a proper hip drop FFS.

There's far too much of this from the MRC these days.

The amount of dumb Facebook comments like “Teflon Fatrell gets nothing for his hip drop” or “scared to suspend him cos of his skin colour” are some of the funniest things I’ve read.
