By getting Flanagan out of the commentary box they’ve done Rugby League a huge service. We just need someone to hire Ennis now.

I dunno, despite the scoreline I thought their defence looked decent-ish. Also even though everyone was laughing about them taking a trial so seriously it’s probably a good indication of a change in mindset at the very least.

I wouldn't be reading too much in to any of these games, they are just practice runs.

In the case of the dragons it is literally Flanno's first game as coach. I rate him as a coach and he will maximize what is there. I expect by mid season he will have them committed and organized and they will get some solid wins. They just don't have the talent to threaten the top 8.

I agree with your points. Intensity dropped significantly in 2nd half when most of the likely starters were rested, so quality of squad depth remains a concern.

As a Knights fan I know that habit well. After 2015-2017 I just go into every season with a part of me just assuming we’ll get the spoon - just easier that way
