He was carrying on like a cranky old man in the press conference. He was whingeing and moaning that Murray should have been sent off. This is why I consider him "smug", he thinks his team never does anything wrong and are like angels, but he grubs it up just like everyone else.

Also amazed at Slater whingeing about how Walsh was dealt with by NSW. Walsh injured himself in an accident, but the way Slater carried on post match you would think he was subjected to head high tackles on every run he made.

Qld - ungracious winners, sooky losers.
How many send offs do Queensland need to win an Origin series? Is one not enough? Clearly not!

Slater was shown to be the rookie coach he is, Gets some pressure and can't handle it.

As for the Walsh thing, If Walsh was the NSW fullback, Billy is telling his players to do the same or risk getting burnt like Penrith did in the GF
Slater has the makings of a good coach at NRL level, we've seen with how he organises his teams and even last night they were resilient in defence and (on the football alone) didn't embarrass themselves.

The problem is that, having spent his entire career playing for the Storm and lining up amongst a once-in-a-generation Qld team, he's used to getting the magic carpet ride from refs and that sense of entitlement evidently remains.

Best thing for him would be to not wait to succeed Bellamy at the Storm (the easy way out). To shape him into a better coach, would rather see him go to a club that doesn't get so many leg-ups from the NRL each week....

Wasn't happy with Klein's performance but NSW clearly the better team, especially in the forwards. We are missing too many first-picked forwards thru injury and bad selections.

Congrats NSW, sets up next year's series nicely

I think Moses's and Luai's kicking game won the match in the end . DCE's kicking was terrible, getting no distance.

Deardan was very good for QLD, easily their best player. QLD needed Fafita and someone other than old man Gagai though...
I would say that was DCE's last series and Walker will take over next year, unless they move Deardan to 7.
I was thinking the same thing RE: Fifita. That was definitely the type of game where he could have come up with something to break the game open in QLD favour

QLD desperately missed Munster, I find it hard to believe he wouldn't have come up with something in that first 60 minutes to get QLD on the board.

It's going to be very difficult for them to not pick Walker next year.

That Melee was completely the fault of Nanai and it's wild he hasn't got the harshest penalty. Nothing else other than Luai and DCE pushing each other happens if that lunatic doesn't run in from 30 metres away to put a hit on Luai.
Grade 3 Contrary Conduct has been reserved in the past for things like abusing officials. It's absolutely wild to pull it out for a push-and-shove.

It's wild actually to build up hatred, market it, predict fights in the media, rave about it, then get salty when a few grown men grab some jerseys.

f**k off MRC and leave it be. It was dealt with last night. Nothing more was required.

Madge clearly played his hand well in the lead up, moaning about being up against lopsided penalty counts. Turns out he had nothing to worry about - Klein followed his game 2 blueprint like clockwork, penalising the shit out of Qld in the 1st half and then attempting to even up the penalty count in the 2nd. The rub of the green was definitely with NSW again, and anyone who claims otherwise is delirious, but good teams overcome lopsided refereeing and QLD simply weren't good enough in attack, and fatigue proved too much for their defence to hold up.

DCE's whining is hilarious. Still crying post game that Murray should have been sent. He is the dickhead that started it trying to bait Luai. The MRC reacation is over the top.

Agreed. The irony that it was Nanai who could run from far away to put a dead ball blindside hit on Luai but couldn’t move across to tackle Luai leading to his break and try

Its a f**king joke.. in the news today they are desperate to try and say Luai started it by 'running' at DCE. bottom line QLD were going to get the ball and DCE had a brain explosion and decided to push Luai in the face. What's Luai supposed to do stand there and cop it? and agree on Nanai he doesn't come in like that DCE probably gets away with starting it, the push and shove between them fizzles out and QLD have the ball on out 30m line. After the whole thing blew up the correct penalty was awarded and yes Nanai should have definitely copped the harshest penalty. the rest was habdbags at 10 paces.

Didn't get the rub of the green.. get f**ked Slater and DCE you whining pricks. You had a run there between the 50th and 60th minute where Klown decided to blow 3 penalties and 1 set restart for you on the trot for shit that had been let go all day.

And you lost the penalty count for dumb foul play shit. lifting tackle, tackling in the air, hitting the kicker late, staring a 'Mele' and my favorite protégé/mentor moment the kick in the head!

Rant over.. haha
