Pretty disappointed in Stranges lack of involvement. Pretty sure that was a Ricky call though. Hopefully he gets a bit more leeway next week.

Hosking and Smithies look decent
Strange is 18 yr old and made 26 tackles you numpty. Tonight was on Fog and Rapa to take the reigns. They did.

Daley was eased in as a centre with way less on him as a teenager in the golden era. Strange can do just like tonight and add in gradually all year.

that was a mix of just tenacity and gut against a team thats attack will somehow find a way to finish on negative points in a game this year. Knights were abysmal

Have to wonder where Newcastle spend their cap. Ponga gets a boatload but after that they must be overpaying big time on some very average players. Gamble, Hastings and Crossland would be decent spine for the nsw cup

AOB will be the first coach sacked this year.

Ponga's sun tan is a good indicator of the work that has been done up at Newcastle this off-season.

All 3 were really good for us last year. Gamble and Crossland are on peanuts anyway. We’re spending good money on hooker who’s played about 30 games in the 4 years he’s been here.

Brailey has played thirty eight games in four seasons.

Makes Latrell seem a good value signing over the same period.

Raiders were busy in defence. They pretty much knew that Ponga or Crossland was Newcastle's point of attack and defended accordingly. Was very impressed with Hosking.
Knights looked too flat in the opposition 20 and it felt like their halves didn't want to run the ball. Too many errors hurt them badly.

Was really weird seeing no Chaos from Canberra in the last 20.

Todd Smith needs to practice his refereeing and stop spending so much time with the Ginger Separist Movement

The term red headed step child, it is there for a reason.

Red headed children are evil little merkins.

Most grow out of it. After they killed an animal with a firecracker up the arse.

Raiders defence was excellent last night. They bustled the Knights into many handling errors, but the Knights didn't help themselves with pushing really dumb passes that resulted in knock ons (e.g. Gagai's one handed pass to Marzhew's ankles). It gifted the Raiders a lot of field position and possession, which told come the second half.

The Raiders attack may not be brilliant per se, but they seemed to convert just about every opportunity into points last night.
