Game of round... In this house anyway

Bragging rights on the line.

Husband v Wife. Sibling v Sibling. A split house, with only one winner.

I can almost smell the anticipation.

......

Penrith by as many as they can be bothered to score.

Match of the round.

The Raiders do have the shorter turn around plus the fact they played in the heat of Townsville.

However that advantage to Penrith has been completely evaporated in the space of a week. They have half of the best spine in the entire world out (Kenny/Cleary). They will no doubt face brutally cold conditions and an unavoidable and arduous bus ride to Canberra (Three hours!). Raiders season is on the line so Ricky will have them fired up.

That's apparently how they do it here in Canberra... When in Rome and all that

Edit: Now I see what you see.... The siblings are our kids LOL LOL LOL

Ah I see 😉.

Is one of them a bandwagon Panthers fan, or influenced by you from birth?

I've noticed a few bandwagon Panthers fans in NZ recently.

From birth my friend - 5 kids - 2 Raiders and 3 Panthers (youngest who is only 3 months was a coin flip and I won)

On of my favourite rugby league moments was watching big Papa chase down a runaway Jamal Fogarty against the Titans in 2020. One of the best, if not the best , effort plays I’ve seen. Shame we’ll never see it again since they both play for Canberra . Then again it’s the Raiders we’re talking about here so I would’t completely rule it out .

I’ve got a confession to make . I actually like watching the Raiders play. The best one-two punch in the NRL in Tapine and Papa . Future star in Ethan Strange (his defence can easily be fixed but he’ a five eight not a centre. ) Some games are endless crash plays and aimless bombs then when you least expect it they light up the field like a pinball machine. Do things like come back from 20-4 down at Brookvale on the back of Elliott Whitehead of all people. Seb Crisp is a bit of a turnstile though and I’m not sure what happened to Nick Cotric who when he played for the Bulldogs was underwhelming.
