Speedster i think having one troubled child in trellmyth is enough id call it double trouble and double trouble is something souths could do without.
Don't you believe in redemption? Don't forget who we'll have coaching these boys next year. She'll be right. You can rest up on all this stressing out now with Wayne coming back.

Time to settle back and have a more relaxed off season eh? ;)

RCG now rumoured to be signing with the Broncs! What a joke, surely they can’t afford him unless eels are paying a hefty percentage
Yeah, saw that and thought, is another prop really what Brisbane needs right now? Their front row is already stacked and not where their team needs to point more of its cap I reckon.

But good! Stuff your salary cap up Brisbane. That's the way. :D

You forgot Schuster! Is he playing NSW cup?

I forgot Schuster.

He probably starts the season in Cup but at his best, he plays edge, pushing Keaon to the middle rotation and potentially as a starting prop with Moale to bench and Tallis out of the top 17?
No way Aitken is a starter, with Arrow on the bench.
Also, AJ won't be ready until at least June 2025

I would be going very hard after RCG i think he should be a must. Parra have said consistently that they will not be chipping in for his contract moreover, RCG has practically said he wants to leave.

i think a 500k deal for 2 years should be enough to swing him over. He would go straight onto the bench for Keppie.

But we need another 2 props.

my best team for 2025 round 1

1. Munroe
2. Graham
3. Wighton
4. Mitchell
5. Milne/Mellars/Tass
6. Cody
7. Dodd
8. Moale
9. Humphreys
10. KK
11. Aitken
12. Arrow
13. Muarry

14. Tass
15. Tatola
16. Keppie
17. Duncan
18. Schuster
19. Gray
20. Hubner

Firstly, I don't see being picked on the bench as being lesser than being picked in the starting side when it comes to middle forwards nowadays.

But secondly, Arrow is a middle who has filled in for us on the edge out of necessity in the past but with a genuine edge man in Aitken coming onboard, Wayne won't need to play Arrow in his less preferred and less effective position in my opinion and he can stay in our middles rotation where he does his best work.

The best sides have great benches.

And I'm aware AJ will miss a big chunk of the year. I was picking our best side, not our round 1 side. Obviously, someone fills in for him such as Gagai, maybe Mellars if he has a big preseason.

L. Ilias should be given an opportunity to play #9.
He is battle hardened, can defend stoutly and he will not be required to kick or deliver precise passes on the run. See if Ilias can be transformed into a Marshall-King style footballer. Burt definetly has to look at that option.
Further, Johnston should be back running strongly by late November. No contact, just running. Achilles tendon tears do not require anywhere near the length of absence as for ACL ruptures. Just ask Aaron Rodgers, who has resumed playing in the NFL at age 41.

Ilias would have to star at #9 in NSW Cup over several rounds to get a look in for 1sts off the bench to start with but yeah, he could be a goer in that possie if that's what they decide. He'd have to learn a fair bit though about dummy half play and sharpen up his acceleration off the mark.

And lets hope AJ is back sooner than expected.
