He's on definitely the cusp and the has potential - and might be a chance of selection if we weren't 14th-15th on the ladder.

If he was in the Sharks pack for example, this year he'd suddenly be in active consideration.

Billy has him on the radar for a while.

QLD do things differently then NSW they pick a player in and back them no matter how bad the clubs are going.

NSW team just looks like a lightweight City vs Country squad. They will need a miracle.

Its interesting the mentality between the two states.

If QLD had a side like that everyone would be wary of the QLD underdog mentality that always seems to find a way when written off and given no hope.

NSW on the other hand are shit when $1.01 favourites and double down on the shitness when they are long odds.

Game 1 in Sydney gives NSW a chance but they have to win this game & 2nd one in Melbourne.

Winning a decider in Brisbane is just a bridge too far its like watching the same game over & over again when we play up there.

I can't complain too much about the side.

Madge made the toughest call and dropped Tedesco which was always going to be a big call not because Tedesco deserved to be dropped but the standing he has in the game from media & the fact he plays for the roosters.

The rest i can mostly live with.

I wouldn't have picked Sua'alii on principle would have gone with Staggs or dare i say it despite his shithouse form Latrell Mitchell.

I feel like if you put Latrell in the centres which is his best position he may actually scare QLD on the edges like he did in 2021.

But i suppose NSW owe Latrell nothing anyway he didnt want to play in Game 3, 2022 when Freddy asked him and he said NO due to having just 1 game back from a hamstring injury.

So i am not fussed about him missing out.

Qlds forwards and bench look average to me. NSW can win this
Jag a game ? Or win the series ?

I see plenty of 1% players in the QLD team. Not many in NSW.

Here's the thing with origin. Penrith win NRL games because they play a relentless, mistake free game. They wait for errors through pressure and come back with points on the back of possession in good field position.

Does that win you an origin series however ? No. IMHO an origin series is won on 1% ers by exceptional players doing exceptional things.

TBH i would have thought soing all the 1%ers and mistake free footy go hand in hand.

Penrith in NRL and Qld in Origin have alot in common attitude wise
