That’s largely because over the years afl fans haven’t had to fork out for ptv as their game has been so well covered by fta. We have been the opposite.
Fta is literally the only time afl ratings are close to decent
Any idea what the Wallabies rated?
Thanks you sir221,000 on 9GO (mostly ex 9 Bris)
Do we think there will ever be a day when we will see FTA covg more like AFL with clubs beamed live into their own cities?
Storm rate well when on melbourne tv, Perth would do the same, Brisbane rate higher in Brisbane etc
Or is the game too far in Fox's pocket to ever see that?

Who was the poster the other day that said all Sydney NRL clubs would kill for the Swans' fan base?

75k average in Melbourne too. These Thursday night Melbourne games without any competition are doing fantastic things for the Storm's publicity in Melbourne. 2 more unopposed Thursdays to go against the Cowboys and Broncos. Building nicely for some solid Finals Tv ratings, as it's looking like a real possibility that all Melbourne AFL teams could be knocked out Week 1 of finals. Which would mean the whole of the NRL Finals, they wouldn't have any Melbourne-based competition.Thursday 15 August 2024 | TV Tonight
