I think the French team. Dragons are favourite vs Wigan Warriors in Grand Final

Wigan came top of the ladder on points difference over Catalans and absolutely battered them when they met in Perpignan in August, 34-0. I may be biased, but I think this has a Wigan win all over it.

If Wigan do win, the WCC could be played on either side of the planet, as Wigan have travelled to Australia twice before. If Catalans win, it must be played in France IMO.

Good luck to Wigan, I suspect you will be too good for Catalan. Then I hope we can play you with a full team that is also in condition. No excuses.

Our coach Ivan said "St Helens deserved to win, they wanted it more and they were better than us on the day". This is not sour grapes, but I honestly believe that when the Panthers are in form, they are the best RL team in the world, in spite of losing to St Helens. If it's you we are playing, then may the best team win.

Wigan use to be the best team in the world. they nearly beat the Australian Kangaroos whilst on tour of England

A relative of my ex wife was the best friend of John Monie. He went over to the UK and when he got home gave me a signed Wigan Jumper . At the time W igan had 17 internationals. I got it framed and gave it to a good mate.

Will be a good home coming for Willie Isa and Kaide Ellis if they are with Wigan next year.

21-4 to Wigan in 1991.

With a proper pre-season to 3/4 of our spine and knowing how to play without Api already

I expect a much better performance than against St Helens. I wasn't confident in that game or any of our early season matches because of the short preseason and not having a decent hooker. We found our style with Kenny now and Luke Somerton looks very promising.

Life without Critter will take some getting used to. Likewise Leniu. But much smaller holes to fill then Api and Kikau who we managed.

Wigan Warriors boss Matt Peet is keen to get a World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers in the diary having won the Super League Grand Final tonight.

Bitter rivals St Helens beat Penrith in their own backyard at the beginning of this year, the first Super League club to win in Australia since 1994.

Panthers head coach Ivan Cleary has already expressed his desire for one to take place next year, and having sealed a third piece of silverware in his reign as Warriors chief, Peet was very much of the same opinion.

Jovially, he said: “We want to go there! We’re looking forward to it, it would be an honour. I hadn’t really thought about that to be honest, but I know the club would like to go there.

“It’s an exciting thing for next year, for the future, and I suppose we can start to think about that, maybe come Tuesday.

“We’ve got massive respect for them as an organisation. This club has a great history playing in that competition, and it’s where we should be.

“We’ll play anywhere. I’ll just let those higher up in the club than me sort all that out. We’ll make sure we’re ready to play.”
