Wow what an atmosphere through the telly, I can't imagine what it sounds like there. Wish I went. International footy, who'd have thought?

Yeh, incredible.
Despite Accor and Allianz being unavailable, I actually think this was the perfect venue for this final.
Sometimes, smaller stadiums do it better.
It is coming across amazingly on TV and looks fantastic. It doesn't always have to be about capacity.

Historians, would I be right in thinking that this years internationals in crowds, is the best ever? I know back when 3 sides could win and draw crowds, but wow, look at this today and the last few weeks. Is this better than any tournament or series ever?

Oh and to hear old Gus bowing down to International RL, Pigs do indead fly. (pigs in space from the muppets, they weren't lying, they fly in choppers) 😆

Happy that I have lived to see Gus get giddy over proper rep games.

The Pacific Championship has been so much more entertaining to watch than the Ashes, and seriously better quality tbh.
Atmosphere in the PC is so much better as well, thanks to the Samoan and Tongan support.
England need to do better.

What an amazing game and occasion!
As an Aussie neutral, I couldn't imagine enjoying a contest more.
We woke up a giant! Channel 7 must be thinking they got the WC for a bargain!

And the AFL must be hating the fact that RL still has such great content this late in the year.
They've got AFLW which is an absolute laugh-fest of quality.
PVL has absolutely pasted them.

I'm surprised to hear Gus Gould and Brad Fittler commentating.

Thought both of them would still be sleeping after staying up for the Ashes test until 3:30am.

A Samoan victory in the pacific championship and England win in the ashes would have been the dream outcome to complement the amazing end of season international crowds but sadly it wasn’t to be.
Depends on what we value more, personally I think the Kiwi win will have greater impact because they are now seen as a very real threat, hopefully this will lead to more Kiwi fans getting on board, there`s already no shortage of Samoans.
With regards the Samoans, I think they`ll console themselves that Chrichton and Hammer will come in, they`ll still fancy their chances with those two massive ins.

Not that I’d pick him personally but has tino made himself available for Samoan selection?

Amazing crowd and atmosphere there today, One question though is why so many empty seats in the upper level?
I notice this a lot at Commbank, I cant say I've ever watched a game there without plenty of empty seats, even when the crowd is sold out like today.

That's a great question.
Those empty seats were easily visible on tv.

Not really, not if you look at the crowds for 3 test series in Australia in the good ol' days. eg:
Summary of that: Attendance 179,816 from 2 tests at the SCG & 1 at the Gabba

Yep this one broke the record average crowds for an international tournament. Previously held by the 2004 Tri Nations (26,401)
