Allianz is so under-utilised by NRL teams, it should have 25+ regular season games every year. Roosters & Souths as full time tenants plus Dragons & Tigers (at least) playing some of their big games there each year.
I'll say it again...

Roosters/souths/dragons/tigers to play each other twice a year every year at SFS.

In our case it enables us to take more games against lower drawing teams to Gosford or elsewhere.

Beyond that, souths should be there full time.

I would also look at Manly and sharks having the odd game there, potentially against each other. They are traditional rivals and the stadium is in between each supporter base.

As a Saints fan I’d like us to keep playing at kogarah, it’s a good little ground to watch footy, but maybe only for 2-3 games a year. The rest at Allianz and WIN
Yes, I’d like 2 (to start) games at Allianz, 5 each Jubilee and WIN. Our home games v Roosters every year, plus 1 out of Souths & Dogs.

I was at Jubilee yesterday and I’d swear there were more than 16 and a bit there. If the capacity really is 20,500 then I think we could have been near 19k. Surely 3.5k people don’t buy tickets and not show up?

NRL want to the game to go global but allow games to be played at cow paddocks
I understand the Sea Eagles situation , desperately trying to get funding at Brookie which may one day happen
But there is no way any government is going to rebuild Kogarah. Yesterday’s game should have been moved to Allianz. The Dragons need to start by taking 2 to 3 games a year there before eventually playing 6 games at Win and 6 at Allianz
They are leaving millions of $$$ on the table by playing Kogarah

The simple breakdown for Dragons home games is six in the Illawarra, six in Sydney. For the Sydney games, it could be three at Kogarah, three at Allianz.

Why should Win lose a home game due to Kogarah's outdated facilities?

Allianz wasn't available yesterday for starters and then there is the extra cost that may not be reflected in moving the game.

Some people on here using this theory will get a huge shock when they see the Panthers crowds in a bigger/better Stadium

Kogarah needs to go the way of Belmore, two games a season against our of town teams for nostalgia and then 4 at the SFS ideally against roosters, souths, wests and either cronulla or manly.

6 games to remain in Wollongong

TBH I don’t see Jubilee as “a cow paddock”.
The playing surface is like a billiard table for a start.
The only thing outdated is that it has a hill. But plenty of grounds have a hill.

I sit on the top level of the stand, maybe that colours my view.

I used to bludge off my cousin

He had a box plus tickets on the half way but four rows back from the front of the second tier

Those seats you have are mint and hard to get

They could take dogs roosters souths and sharks to Allianz unlike Cronulla dragons fans would travel and they would make a lot of money

Saints leagues said they actually lose money on game day cause all their regulars don’t show up cause of traffic

dragons should play Roosters, dogs, tiger, souths, eels at allianz with reciprocal memberships so Sydney dragons fans can buy a 10 game Sydney membership. Other 7 games at a redeveloped WIN

gives ten guaranteed 20k+ crowds in Sydney for dragons games.

No it doesn't. You are assuming Dragons fans want to move games to Allianz and will attend in large numbers. This will not happen.

And f**king hell comparing Kogarah with Belmore. The only thing they have in common is a hill. Kogarah's grandstand and seating is light years ahead of Belmore and all other suburban grounds.

That wasn't the reason it wasn't played there though. Could have had it at SFS today and the Melbourne game yesterday if they wanted to.

Penrith to Parramatta is way further than kogarah to moore park and dragons fans always turn out in numbers at SFS. Playing games there would definitely work for them

.

You people wouldn't know a good looking ground if it bit you in the arse.

Just because there's a hill it doesn’t mean it's a shit ground. Kogarah is a beautiful ground to look at and watch football.

I'm very comfortable saying it will be in numbers larger than 16k against the right opponents

They travel to Allianz for Anzac Day

Dragons aren’t the only club that should move games there though

Ultimately it’s up to the clubs as to money v pleasing the dragons side of the jv

For the dragons it would mean giving up home ground advantage to the chooks and souths who would have more fans there than them or similar

I think most Dragons fans would disagree. If yesterday had been taken to Allianz they may well have gotten 35K.
25K would have been Dogs fans. Possibly more.

It's irrelevant anyway as it's not going to happen. The club has no intentions of moving away from Kogarah in the foreseeable future. And rightly so.

Use Allianz a 3rd time in 4 days. With it being used on Thursday? Not sure they want to test surfaces that much so early in the year

Also the Dragons fanbase is older so the 40min train trip might seem like nothing to us but to them maybe not.

If there is cash in it. They'd be there tomorrow clubs are all for the money

Even then. Bankstown line still has no trainline and with the horrible weather around. You want to be certain that you'd get the extra $ to justify it.
