guess it would be on season ticket sales about 2-3 months before
People could even prioritise footy as a cheaper option to other things

Season tickets you can pay off across a year.

Using the example above, Not sure many have a couple of hundred.

That is before parking and food are thrown into it

We got 5 tickets to Saints/Parra game on Saturday, I`m paying for everyone so I didn`t really feel like forking out $500 for sideline seats so I got 5 GA tickets behind the posts for $40, one of those $30 because my daughter is still technically a student, $190 all up so not bad, and I`ve read on here previously that behind the sticks at Commbank is the dirty little secret of hardcore fans at that ground.
Taking my daughter`s cello playing, German speaking, AI professional boyfriend along for his first live game of Rugby League, they`ve been going out for three years so I have to start taking him seriously, he doesn`t know it yet but he is an honorary St. George supporter now. Should be interesting.
My mates wife scored two freebies and she doesn’t wanna go. Might break my commbank duck

Sat 3 pm is such a punish to go too

If I were the Panthers I would be hading out 2-5k tickets to schools in the Parra region. Like proper turf war shit.

May as well buy an attendance and hope for some merch sales.

Not sure if it is an ego thing what but the attitude seems to be. People will go because it is them. Marketing is way down from previous years

Not only that because they paid to have public transport included ticket prices are higher too.

I am sure they will learn for next season

Yeah kinda feels the club has just accepted that crowds will just suffer for a few years. It’s a shame because this is the time to really be building their fan base with all this success.

It could be them being tight

But they hosted Vegas
Host Broncs in Magic Round
They get $300k for playing in Bathurst
You'd expect similar from Mudgee.

So I think it is just lazy but the thing with that is, We run the risk that fans prefer that and will stay at home and watch. Even when Penrith is built

Even better do it in mt druitt and Blacktown which are a close to commbank and they may stay fans when they move back to penrith!

What are the chances Dogs vs Knights gets a bigger crowd the the Bunnies Vs Roosters
Pretty embarrassing if that were to happen
It will. Dogs v Knights pre-sales looks a lot better, with not many tickets left on the western side and the Kennel now sold out.

Whilst Roosters v Rabbitohs is selling better than Rabbitohs v Panthers, I have zero confidence in the crowd exceeding 20K at Accor (be different if at Allianz).

Bulldogs v Knights will be over 20K at current sales rates, question is more by how much?

On the Late Show with Matty Johns, word is that the crowd between the Bulldogs and the Knights could hit 40,000 on Sunday night:

image0-2.jpeg

I think there's probably a bit of hyperbole in that. The last time a regular season crowd of 40,000 was speculated at Accor for a Doggies game, a (very good) crowd of 35,502 was reported for the R26 clash vs Manly at Accor last year. Level 4 East was open for that, but it isn't yet open for Sunday night. Considering we still have more than 2 days of ticket sales to go, I think it's possible the game could nudge 30,000.

Meanwhile, I think it's safe to say the Friday 8:00pm game between the Rabbitohs and the Roosters will draw less than that. I think a crowd over 20,000 is on the cards (I'll be at the game, so I'm doing my part!).

---

Also on the Late Show with Matty Johns, there is early speculation the Good Friday Game between the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs could draw 60,000. If it's achieved, it would be the first regular season rugby league crowd to crack 60,000, besting the current high water mark of 59,708 at Accor Stadium in the last round minor premiership battle between the Rabbitohs and the Roosters.

No doubt some more hyperbole attached to that 60,000 figure, but what a milestone that would be for the game.

They're definitely exaggerating what the Bulldogs crowds will be (at least for the Knights game), though I'll happily take this type of positive speculation from one of our media partners.

It's nice seeing Good Friday being hyped up this far out, feels like it's been years.

The Bulldogs have an enormous supporter base in Western Sydney and are now a good team after being rubbish for 10 years. Their supporters are starved of success, and they'll easily be the highest drawing Sydney team of 2025 IMO.

Would love to see 30k against the knights and 60k against the bunnies. To get there I think the bunnies would need to win their next couple games.

There has never been a regular season crowd of 60k in 117 years of Rugby League in Australia, so that would be something.
