Surely there's some AI for this shit already
This is a usecase that AI is truly designed for versus a lot of the stuff people are trying make it do.

Analysing huge sets of historical sales data, identify trends from current game sales, interpret signals from prospective buyers & make recommendations is exactly the usecases these models were originally designed for and where they provide so much value.

A lot of ticketing managers would possibly feel threatened by it, versus realising it would make them better at their job.

West Coast Sharks definitely works.
But if you understand current, it doesn't.

In all seriousness, the NRL needs to get a stadium policy in order that will disqualify Shark Park and have them move until it's fixed.
It's a black eye on the game and they seem to be under no pressure to sort it out.

I say it's time to put some pressure on the Sharks.
The Stadium capacity first awaiting delays with the developer of the whole development next door on getting permission to get the League club finished. That at present has reduced capacity due to safety issues.
You do understand the NRL has purchased the Crest Hotel that sits right next to the stadium. They"ain't " going to undercut the value of this asset by reducing patronage.
After this has been sorted out then the issue of ground development can be discussed.
The Sharks have the 2nd largest junior league in Sydney. The Shire is in fact growing population wise , as part of State Govt requirements for high density living in Sydney ,units, townhouse * villas popping up everywhere.
The Sharks have three assets ( the Club at Kareela -profitable, a building they lease out in the Cronulla Mall, the ground they own. They have a decent asset base as a starting point for future loans. The club is not privately owned.
This is not counting the Leagues club to be finalised next door ,another expected income producing asset.
if that is a black eye for the game , then I didn't type this .

i live in the shire and the sharks extremely popular its just they do not travel over the bridge

would say they are smallest fanbase in sydney but they secured their future for long term now

Loved every bit of that.
Just not the part where there's a stadium issue without a clear resolution.

The fans that currently go to sharks games won't travel. But other sharks fans who can't get a seat at Shark Park would go to one or two games at Allianz each year.

Correct. That brings up the point about travel. The bridges Toms Ugly Bridge & Cptn Cook are like an iron curtain .The only time they travel in bigly numbers is final series and Grand finals where they come out of the woodwork Australia & Worldwide, As indicated by the 2016 G/F.
And being moved to another state would do zero to assist their crowds in Sydney.
Another point the Sharks when ET was playing and the ground capacity was larger were getting far bigger crowds.
IMO being a long time Shire resident they are more popular now than those days(thanks to 2016 win).Until the stadium issue is sorted out they will remain restricted on attendances ,which gives me the sh&ts.

Not really going to help the crowds at Allianz ,as Manly also has shown and Pennies. They will when it comes to finals etc.Bulldogs fans are more widespread and in greater numbers just like the Bunnies.
The Sharks gave up a home game for WA Optus ,so maybe one at Allianz against the Rorters.

How AAMI Park is tracking for next Friday. Black is sold out or down to single tickets. Grey is around the 90% sold mark. Blue areas are selling decently as well. Expecting the match to go very close to selling out, if it doesn't get there before kick off.

Update on AAMI Park sales for Friday.

Black is sold out or down to single seats, dark grey is for anything 90%+ sold and light grey is for anything around 70% sold.

Pretty much we're just selling into the corners now. As the Storm confirmed earlier today on IG, there is only 1,000 tickets left

Have to admit, can't remember last time the Storm had back-to-back sell outs at home. Last year the club only achieved one sell out (Dolphins game), so this is a great achievement by the club.

The Broncos and Dolphins have locked in an NRL double header at Suncorp Stadium

The Broncos and Dolphins will create Australian sporting history with a one-day NRL epic that could attract up to 100,000 fans to Suncorp Stadium.

The Broncos and Dolphins will create Australian sporting history with a one-day Suncorp Stadium epic that will inject millions into Brisbane’s economy and attract up to 100,000 fans.

In the lead-up to next week’s sold-out Magic Round, this masthead can confirm Brisbane’s NRL teams will play separate matches at The Cauldron on the same day in June with entirely different crowds.

Tropical Cyclone Alfred last month forced the Dolphins’ round 1 home game with South Sydney to be rescheduled to round 17, creating a clash with the Broncos.

A fortnight ago this masthead revealed plans to stage a double-event extravaganza and on Wednesday the Dolphins received permission to play their June 28 match at the newly-scheduled time of 7.50pm.

The Broncos-Warriors NRL game will kick off at the original time of 3pm.

The expected 45-50,000-strong crowd for the Broncos game will be cleared out and the stadium turned over before accepting a new crowd for the Dolphins-Rabbitohs game.

While Magic Round hosts up to three games per day, only about 50,000 fans can attend each day given it is a single ticket.

Fans will need tickets for both of the June 28 games if they wish to attend the two events and the nearby Caxton Street precinct is expected to be heaving for the history-making day.

“We want to thank the NRL, Suncorp Stadium, host broadcaster Fox League and the Rabbitohs and Broncos for having the vision to make this unique set of circumstances into a history-making reality,” Dolphins CEO Terry Reader said.

“We don’t believe a major stadium in Australia has ever been turned around in the one day for two events of this size before.

“It is going to turn the Caxton Street precinct into a carnival for the entire day where fans can enjoy either event, or go the whole way and purchase tickets to both.”

Fans attending the Broncos-Warriors game will have to vacate the stadium within an hour of full-time.

Stadium colours, sponsor assets and dressing room signage will all be changed in that time before the new crowd begins entering the ground.

Broncos and Dolphins members will retain their usual seating.

Suncorp Stadium general manager Alan Graham said the stadium was up to the challenge.

“Here at Suncorp Stadium we are always ready to take on big and unique challenges,” he said.

“Magic Round, floods and world title fights are just a few examples. We’ve got the team and the appetite to take on the next big one by turning the venue around for these back-to-back blockbusters.

“I am so grateful to our staff and all stakeholders and suppliers who have all adopted a ‘can do’ approach to make this event a great experience for so many NRL fans.”

3 sellouts this Anzac round in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne would be absolutely amazing.

hopefully Townsville, Canberra and Christchurch will follow suit to make it yet another epic NRL round.
