They aren’t playing for us. They’re playing for the 100s of thousands or millions of dollars they’re getting paid. Come on. Plenty of people around the country play in those sorts of conditions without any payment (in fact we pay for the privilege) and we do it because it’s fun. It’s hardly some huge self sacrifice.Embarrassing.
Your team had to go and play in those conditions for you, yet you'd rather sit in front of a fire or heater at home rather than get out and support them.
Not everyone wants to go sit in an open stadium in wet freezing conditions (especially once you have a family). I’ve now got a 1 week old, 2 year old and a 4 year old. If you think we’re taking our family to the footy in those conditions in that stadium you’re kidding and I doubt I’m alone.
If anything is to blame it’s the poor stadium infrastructure in Canberra. You might get a few more to show up if they weren’t in such a dog shit stadium.
