NRL riding high then this happens be loads of give aways all the building of looking forward to the start of the NRL and through the season and then you get this is more then a tad disappointment :(
Reminder in the past 24 years the grand final of 2016 Sharks V Storm got the 4 biggest crowd in the past 24 years.
Wouldn't be concerned about a G?F crowd .The 3 other biggest crowds were in the early 2000.

Would sharks v panthers be harder to sell than storm v panthers? I feel like sydney sharks fans are more likely to go in numbers than melbourne fans.

i know they were given shit here but when they won it 2016, they were easily majority and had one highest gf crowds at Olympic park
This is not a knowck on the Sharks but you must also factor in that the Sharks had never won a GF at that point so alot of their supporters would have gone hoping for it to be their first win. You would also hope a Sydney based team playing a team from 1000kms away will outdraw them.

Still well above Canberra tonight, and Storm more than it would have drawn in Melbourne.
Yes, above the capacity of most of our home grounds, including Raiders & Storm. In context, with the tongue-in-cheek suggestion on here that the Panthers would be bringing the big numbers this weekend, was fair to notice that their last couple of prelim finals have seen Accor about 40% full.

f**k me you're a drama queen. The game will sell out regardless of who's playing. So stop worrying and just enjoy the footy.
Lighten up buddy. A bit of banter never hurt anyone. Plus if the GF is that matchup and for some reason it doesn't sell out, it gives us a lot of ammo for kicking both teams out the competition haha.

<500 tickets remaining on levels 1-4 for Canterbury vs Penrith at Accor today. Vast majority of these are for accessible seating.

Starting to see some good movement in tickets on level 6.

I'd guess we're at 59,000 tickets sold at time of writing, and (assuming stadium members turn up), we will comfortably land in the 60-65k range.

No-one fills Accor for a Prelim.

Already a lot of people at Homebush in their jerseys. I know there are other events at the precinct, but surprised by how many are getting here this early.
