What is the point of having three screens together all showing the same thing? They are about the same size as the single screen up the other end.
It’s pretty impressive compared to the one at the other end

Agree. Surely the GF is big enough now that they can hold all ticket sales until after the PFs. That anyone is able to buy a GF ticket in July now seems Rediculous.

Encourages people to buy proper season tickets to get access before every else to the good seats

Current system works well

The risk with holding back the majority of the stadium until after the Preliminary Finals is if it's a weak combination of teams, then the NRL either has to reduce ticket prices or run the risk of the match not selling out, which hurts the NRLs bottom line some years.

Whilst the current system is flawed, the risk is low. With only 14K needing to be moved in the final week, even if they have to discount some tickets (generally it's only ever 1K-2K), the impact to overall revenue is still low.

That said, there is surely a middle ground. Increasing the hold back to 20K-30K would at least be fairer, whilst still minimising risk.

I would have said leave 20k for the last week - but seems that is pretty much where we are

For SL GF they hold back 15k at each end for the two finalists and put the rest on general sale but allocate ends to the 4 semi finalists so if fans want to get in early they can do so. Its not an issue though, HKR and Wigan sold 30k seats in 24hours!

A bit of a rant that will fall on deaf ears - supporter bays should not be allowed to be purchased by opposition supporters.

Use the membership codes to block off areas specifically for each set of supporters and if one set of supporters fail to sell out their bays wishing the membership window, then open it up.

kinda sucked being abused by a drunken Broncos fan all night while I had 15 year Storm member mates stuck at home because they couldn’t get tickets.

I had much the same experience in the Storm ‘premium’ bay. Before it started filling up, I overheard a conversation between a couple of Storm fans and a couple of Broncos fans - apparently, the Broncos fans had chosen ‘best available’ during the presale with an AAN code and automatically got placed in the Storm bay. So it appears that there were no restrictions on where each team’s supporters were able to purchase in during the members pre-sale. I specifically chose the Storm supporter bay.

It ended up being an unpleasant experience for me with a group of rowdy Broncos fans (who had clearly been drinking since early in the day) trying to antagonise and rile up Storm supporters who were doing nothing more than support their team in their own supporter bay.

I’m sorry, but if you’re shouting out negative comments and then immediately looking over to the opposition team’s supporters to see if you’re getting a rise out of them, you’re there for the wrong reasons.

Yup. The broncos fan who was having a crack at us immediately ran to our direction and started doing throat slitting gestures as soon as the game ended? Was really bizarre.

To be fair it was the only real negative experience I experienced from a supporter point of view, other Broncos fans around us were good sports in their win!

Every team has about 10% of their fans that are generally garbage humans. Unfortunately because we outnumbered Melbourne fans so significantly on Sunday night, it was probably always going to happen. A shame in any case.

Edit: spelling

More sections have been released at Suncorp Stadium for Tonga v Samoa. On Level 5, the Samoa supporter bays now run from bays 528 - 533, with 534, 535 and 526 also been released on the northern side of the ground. In the south, 517 has been added to the three Tonga supporter bays.

The first seven rows of Bays 601 & 602 have also been put on sale in the Western Grandstand. At a conservative guess, it looks like we're at around 22K sold for the game.

For Eden Park, the red dots represent what seats are still left to sell in the two sections currently on sale. There is some encouraging movement on the sideline, though hopefully this match sees some improved sales now that teams are starting to get named.

I also wonder if the rugby championship was taking away some attention. It’s finished now so might bring a bit more attention to this tournament.

Moreso related to the 2026 crowd watch thread however the Broncos have nearly sold out level 3 and 5 for 2026 full season ticketed memberships. I expect 3-4k sold since Sunday, and there is good movement in level 6.

Suncorp is well and truly undersized now because Broncos ticketed memberships are becoming an investment, or a timeshare.

Be nice if this eventually flowed on to Redcliffe ticket and membership sales.

Fair chance every Broncos game is a sellout next year you’d think with this hype.

Hopefully they play around with some ways to turn some of the sold out 40-45k crowds we saw this year in to high 40s to low 50s.

Qld govt is going to look stupid if the broncos maintain this form and people are complaining about being locked out for games every week

Planning for capacity expansions for critical infrastructure to match population growth is literally one of their prime roles

To be fair. Just like the NRL, the Broncos crowds have been pretty stagnant for almost a decade at around 33k.

Who knew the Broncos and NRL's crowds were going to jump 30-35% in the space of 2 or 3 years?

The upgrade would be great. But if Broncos ever max out I would hope that flows onto more supporters for the Dolphins or at a stretch the Titans. Does this happen in AFL (eg West Coast, Adelaide?)
