If there is any justice in the world Ezra Mam will go home a 2x GF loser.

The bloke is lucky he isn't in jail.

And winning a premiership this season sounds like it is the ultimate insult to the 3 victims he injured and hit that day. If there current comments reflect anything.

Its an utter disgrace he is playing at all in 2026 and should have at least served 12 months out of the game.

And if I see or hear how much of hard time poor Ezra has been through ill throw up.

What’s the Buzz: Uber driver and passenger fume over Mam’s GF shot

The victims of Broncos star Ezra Mam's drug-driving crash have spoken of their shock and anger as he prepares to play in the the NRL grand final.

Grand final stories don’t come more distressing than this one.

The victims of the Ezra Mam car crash scandal — while unlicensed and under the influence of drugs — are in shock and re-traumatized over the Brisbane Broncos star being part of today’s NRL grand final.

Uber driver Marcel Van Den Camp and passenger Taylor Marshall — the mother of now five-year-old daughter Luna who was injured in the accident — have spoken of their anger over the lenient penalties handed down to Mam by the NRL and the court.

Mam was fined $850 and had his licence disqualified for at least six months, with no conviction recorded. He was suspended for nine weeks by the NRL and fined $120,000.

THE ANGER

“I’m in shock he’s playing,” Marshall said.

“I really thought the repercussions would be harsher.

“I seriously thought he would get a year’s suspension. He got nine games. It’s not good enough.

“Also, I can’t believe they took him into State of Origin camp this year.

“A punishment has got to be a deterrent.”

THE RECOVERY

Luna — just four at the time — suffered a broken hip and seatbelt burns when Mam’s car ploughed into their Uber vehicle. The great news is that little Luna is now doing well.

“We’re getting there,” Marshall said.

“Luna has come a long way. She’s doing better hopping into cars now without being scared. Her injuries have healed.”

THE GRAND FINAL

The irony is that Marshall is a Melbourne Storm fan.

She lives in Brisbane but would have been cheering for Storm, even before the accident.

“I’m actually a Melbourne Storm fan. Cooper Cronk used to be my favourite NRL player,” she said.

“I’ll force myself to watch it because my team is playing and I want to support them.

“I’m still furious about it but I’m trying to move on with my life and get it out of my day-to-day thoughts. When I jump into a car I still grab a handle and hold on.”

THE AFTERMATH

Forgiveness is still some time off.

“I think I will forgive him one day, yes,” she said.

“That’s who I am. But at this time, almost a year on, I’m not ready. No-one wants him to have a life sentence but he got off really, really light.

“I said on the day of his court case that the suit he was wearing would have cost more than the fine that he got.”

The club and Mam have made contact.

“The Broncos (CEO Dave Donaghy) reached out when it first happened and wished us well,” she said.

“Ezra also reached out after his court case over the phone.

“It was a quick call and he apologised. He was going to catch up face-to-face with us but we had the cyclone at the time and he couldn’t do it. We haven’t heard anything since.”

THE UBER DRIVER

Shine Lawyers’ solicitor Kaitlyn Marsh has spoken on behalf of Marcel Van Den Camp.

“Our client finds it deeply challenging and re-traumatizing to see the person responsible for the injuries to him and his passengers, continue to live comfortably,” she said.

“Our client copes with ongoing pain and the prospect of life-long injuries.

“Our client fully understands that seeking justice can be a lengthy process, but he hopes that his claim can be resolved expeditiously.

“Our client does not agree with the consequences imposed by the NRL or the fact that Ezra is playing in this weekend’s grand final.

“However, our client hopes that Ezra has learned from this incident so that no one else has to go through the suffering that our client has because of Ezra’s actions and poor decisions.”
That f**kwit has really gone above and beyond to make amends.

Don’t forget he visited a hospital ffs!!!

Excellent game. Some sore and sorry women after than one.

The bunker and ref did well too, got calls right than needed to be looked at

Only sour spot was Ponys winning

Bit of Biffo at the end. What it looked like (i think), Broughton looked to have started it with her mouth
