I think Sifa will be booked in for surgery, he had ice on his leg at the end of the Canberra game, I was worried he might not be fit for Storm game.

Lomax and Coates out of the Kangaroos side, replaced by Bradman Best and JAC.

I'm curious to know who on here backs what International team. Do you have an Australian only feeling?
I lost that years ago, maybe when Steve Waugh retired..
Personally I've become a Tongan supporter, yeah I'll go for the Kangaroos against those pommy geezas, but I dunno, I do love that Tongan spirit.
I don't mind the Kiwis too. Will be cheering on Ronnie and Briton.
Samoa, no Sharks players in the mens, you lose with Luai.

Good question. I’m English, so will obviously support England v Aus, but I really struggle to get behind ‘England RL’, I guess because I grew up with my international rugby league team being ‘Great Britain’ with the iconic white jersey with blue and red V and the GB lion badge. Even back then, bar maybe 1 or 2 Welsh fellas every now and then, it was an all English team, but the brand was Great Britain, and it was a strong brand too.
The only reason they changed to England was so they could get ‘Sport England’ funding from the government - rather than lobbying government for an exemption to having to be called England, they just caved and sold out the GB branding. Shows the sorry state of affairs of how the game is run and the chronic lack of money in the game here. Oh what we would give for a PVL type to run the game in England, but instead we’ve got the owners of tin-pot town teams ruling with self-interest at heart running the game. Anyway enough of that tangent….

I’m also on the Tonga train, but I also LOVE to see PNG play, and play well. They play the game how I like it - rough, tough and off the cuff. Would love to see them become a powerhouse.

I played alongside a few PNG representatives who came over for a couple of seasons in England - Charlie Wabo, Michael Mark and Nico Slain. Nico was very quiet and could barely mutter a word of English (but still managed to get a young lass pregnant while here). Charlie and particularly Michael were also not great with the languages but were great fun and brilliant on the drink. Charlie was a very good player, and Michael was just rock hard for a winger.

Mate I truly think the English side will make it a real contest against the Roos.
Are you going to one of the tests?

I too liked the GB brand, and yes I dont want to get into the state of the game there. The NRL were interested in buying in but have since gone cold due to certain people, which I know you know whom I talk of.

Even though I think the Aus squad is far weaker than it could be, I”ll be surprised if the games are even competitive. The only hope is that the Kangaroos treat it as a holiday and take England lightly. Complacency plus a coaching brains trust of Walters and Tallis are Englands only hope.
I’m going to Wembley and Everton, missed tickets for Headingley as they sold out super quick.

Certain things I support Australia, the cricket I do more so because I dislike the main opposition teams - England, India, South Africa etc more than any great love for the team itself. The Olympics I love seeing us get gold.

The league side I couldn't care less if we got pumped. Like you I'll be just hoping our sharks boys play well.

Same.
I barrack for anyone playing Australa.

Startd back in the Meninga days where it became jobs for the boys.

It continues obviously where these 2 muppets.
You can only coach Australia of you are a tv personality on 9 or Fox.

Fittler had the job after mal but changed his mind so these 2 dickheads picked it up.

Vonnie was next cab.

Go England.
