That’s a strange team named by Queensland. Three quarters of the spine are in very ordinary form. Fotuaika is a bench player only at SOO level. Fermor has been good and should start but he’s been dropped altogether. Grant was worst on ground in game 1 , but is not going to be punted because of the Melbourne connection.



A better option would have been to keep DCE and move him to hooker. His defence is still good enough and his raking kicks would be 10 metres extra from dummy half. Drop Grant. Recall Gagai. The Hammer to fullback. Ponga to the bench for impact and to cover backline injuries. Get Big Papa out of retirement. Drop Lolero. Fermor to start. Collins has been terrible for the Roosters since returning from injury especially in defence but there aren’t many alternatives.

The only way the named Queensland side can possibly win is if they get close to 60 percent possession or NSW lose players to the sin bin.

Or if they get repeat 6 agains whenever they cross into their half of the field until they manage to score a try from one. Never underestimate Klein's ability to f**k things up...

Because they deserve it and it gives our squad more big game experience.

You have a point about the injuries. I didn't want anyone selected for the first game cos we were playing the Wahs which is a massive grudge match at work for me. But now we have a bye so I wanted to see them get picked.

Savage has improved his strength a lot and would hold his own. He'd make more of an impact than some of Qld's other outside backs.

Freddy was analysing potential Origin selections the other day on the Sunday Footy Show on nine. Wow. After putting a beach sprinting hooker to centre and putting Nico on just for the sake of it with ten minutes to go and out of position. Both ended well. For Queensland.

They already did that leading into game 1 as its been 30 years since that series. It did not go well for them
