Stefano out KK in should’ve been the move.

Leniu been a passenger too.

Kiraz as first back back up stinks, same with Smith as the forward back up.

Unfortunately is becoming a glorified exhibition detracting from the NRL comp. Ruins the Bulldogs v Broncos match and takes Souths’ match winner out of a must win game against Manly. Peter V knows how to sort things out so might eventually move to stand alone time with a 2 conference system. It’s unlikely to reach the lofty standard of last weekends Bulldogs v Panthers match if the first two games were anything to go by.

Toia, Shiba, Loiero, Josh Kerr?
That Queensland side reads like a ressies side with a few exceptions. Everyone from NSW should get their papers stamped if they can’t beat that rabble.

If it was an NRL match I'd put money on NSW, and I bet on footy as often as Skeepe compliments the refs.

But it's Origin and Anything Can Happen (TM) in a Decider (TM) and imagine if Qld could come out and win the game - and the series - as the underdogs on the 30th anniversary of Fatty's no-names winning? They even have the same jerseys with '1995' on the sleeves this series, what an amazing coincidence! (This series and fixture also happens to mark the 40th anniversary of 'Turvey' Mortimer leading NSW to their first series victory, but special anniversaries like that only count when it's Qld)

In all seriousness Paps ads more bite to that forward pack, but for over half a decade the problem with Qld has been fatigue. If NSW at least keep up with them until the 60th minute then I could see them piling on some late tries to blow the score out. Just got to hope Klown doesn't inject himself too much into the game.

I feel this dissonance around Origin because on the one hand it's rep footy at its best and we're meant to care passionately about it. At the same time, it's been obvious for years (decades even?) that the games are managed to ensure the scoreline is close and the best chance of setting up a Decider (TM), which guarantees big ratings and continued big money from the sponsors.

Maybe half the fun in watching Joey get so worked up is that he's not in on the joke yet?

Hahahahahahahaha Shibasaki.

Hahahahahahaahahaha Hopgood and Kerr and no Horsburgh.

f**k me dead Slater is an absolute basket case. Hopefully it’s that absolute grub of a human’s last ever game in charge. What a f**king clown.

Also what the f**k does Horsburgh have to do to get selected? Last 3 games he’s run for 193m, 135m and 122m, while also being top or near top tackler with very few errors.

But I guess form doesn’t actually matter - it’s who you play for.

Big Papa being selected kills the who you play for part. But yeah, cant argue with the rest of it, he has been in good form.

The bloke does look like a walking ringworm breeding box, so it could be the risk of infecting the rest of the team. Hasn't stopped NSW picking Liam Martin though, so the real reason is anyones guess.

Papa and Slater played together during the Maroon tide, so he ticks the who you know box.

Liam Martin gets a pass for being from Temora I think. Nobody from Temora ever let NSW down.

Look on one hand I’m happy that we won’t be missing 3 forwards this week. But you still want to see your guys make it and get rewarded for good form. Since Origin 2 he’s played twice, and run for 193 and 135 metres. His replacement in the extended squad has played once for 40 metres. It’s a genuine question asking what more he has to do.
