I know Galvin has the potential to be a special player, but to me he seemed to be trying to do too much and was getting in Luai’s way a bit (not that Luai was any better).
They’ll iron it out but if they’ve spent that much money on Luai you need to let him run things.
At the same time though I feel like Galvin is more a 7 than a 6.

am I on my own in thinking the best try was fair enough? I know he promoted his arm but whole body was over the line, play on for mine.
Just on this, by the rules it was the correct call but it is harsh in those situations like today where the would-be tryscorer clearly has the upper hand and is basically already over the line by his own momentum.

In the moment I would have argued that his momentum wasn't ceased when his ball carrying arm came in contact with the ground, let alone his body position - but I'm happy enough either way. "Common sense" interpretation maybe that the effort is worth a try. Since we got the win anyway it's an easier pill to swallow, and there were a lot of hard to swallow calls during the match anyway.

I love Braddy but he has a shocking passing game sometimes and boy was it a stinker tonight.
I usually think his passing game at centre is wonderful but he had a real shocker last night. He was thinking pass 100% of the time when it wasn’t on. He should always be thinking run first given his attributes.

im not sure

lowkey think Latu Fainu is a better 6 then galvin

club would never drop him though, too scared of the backlash
Geez after one game? Yes it wasn't Galvins best game but let's not forget how good of a season he had last year. Give the kid time. The tigers lost momentum after May came off. I think Benji put him back on too late (last 10 mins) that might be due to how fatigue he was. The tigers centers are a problem, a few of those times Luai had to rush up and cover the defensive line to help out the centers which is not his job. In saying that, there are alot ofbpositives out of this game. The new boys set a standard on how to compete at the top level. A few of the tigers boys lacked a bit of effort on attack and on defense. For example when Luai did a chip near the try line no one rushed up to take Ponga down. I think if Tylan May gets cleared in court the Tigers should sign him up ASAP! He brings alot of tough carries and a very good defender in the center spot for the tigers. Haemasi can't play first grade until he's 18 in July so he might be another bolter in the centers
