Hunts done more on a bad day than Nichos achieved ever
As a neutral I really enjoyed the intensity which was finals like. The downside was that it had the Klein stench with that ridiculous Mulitalo penalty which led directly to a Penrith try. A Super League referee would never have awarded a penalty to the Panthers for that incident.

The intervention of NRL referees (apart from SOO and the grand final) is the single biggest blight on the game. The emotion from fans watching games like this is frustration and it’s such an easy fix it just blows my mind that the NRL ignores it.

Sit all the NRL referees down and show them how Super League matches are refereed. Sure penalise foul play when it is warranted but not nit picking penalties and set restarts for the sake of set restarts .

Having said all that , Peter V has done an absolutely fantastic job with the Vegas initiative and expansion. Fixing the referee problem is a walk in the park in comparison. After all , the game is all about the players and the fans not who carries the whistle.

If Cleary stays injury free then 5 straight is a very good chance lol

He has only averaged 14.75/24 regular season games over the last four years (combination of injury, suspension, and resting before/after Origin). We basically just need to scrape into the Top 4 and then ensure he is fit and ready to go for finals. Then we will always have a good chance.

It’s a good point Billy. I was looking the number of games Nathan has played versus Latrell. They are the same age and debuted about the same time, and have played almost identical number of NRL games. I thought it was telling, as Latrell is generally recognised as not having great availability.

Yep, he's no Yeo in the iron man department. But he is there when we need him.

Rest him for origin

Another hammy right before origin that gets him back just when it’s finished

This was a pretty high standard game, both sides ripped in and had a crack.

Fail to understand how anyone with any knowledge of the game would suggest otherwise.

The Panthers deserved the two points, were the better side for the most part.

Meh. Plenty of unforced errors particularly in the 1st half and some soft goal line defence. If the Titans and Dragons played the exact same game everyone would call it shit.

That’s fine. If you think that. I thought the completion rates were pretty high but you obviously saw it differently. Both coaches in there press conferences seemed to disagree with your assessment but what would they know.

Yet both teams completed at 78%.

Canberra smashed the Warriors but had 69%

It was a pretty high standard round 1 game
