We have trouble with both, they are rivalry games. These were important wins and conceding just 24 points in these two games suggests defence won them, which is where this side aims to be.

Bulldogs are the real deal though. Took the Panthers’ assistant coach , ancillary staff and a bunch of players and the right flavoured Gatorade. Just about every Bulldog is in career best form. Tracey, Kiraz , Montoya, Crichton, Xerri , Burton, Kikau , Mann. and King. The list goes on.

The Panthers were stuck in neutral but moved into 3rd gear last weekend. Jenkins keeping Alamoti out of the side is interesting , especially with Alamoti coming up against his old team.

Its been tough for us, another season with no pre season, big player losses, it’s not easy it is what it is.

Realistically, the top four is likely not achievable, but if we can grind our way into the top eight somewhere who knows we may peak come September and at least give ourselves a crack.
