2025 Roster: Gains & Losses

The Manly forum had been going nuts about him because he was rumoured to go to Manly

I wouldn’t be too down on it, had clear ability coming through and I liked his attitude for the Titans. Still time to develop into a more than serviceable first grader

From Zero Tackle.
NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS – Braydon Trindall (Sharks)

The Warriors have no obvious heir to Shaun Johnson’s No. 7 jersey following his retirement and need to make that their priority come November 1. Luke Metcalf and Te Maire Martin loom as their best options in the halves next season, but their best position is five-eighth. Meanwhile, Chanel Harris-Tavita has developed more into a dummyhalf option in recent years and hasn’t kicked on as an NRL playmaker. The Warriors should be looking to go hard for Sharks playmaker Braydon Trindall to play halfback and reunite him with former Cronulla teammate Metcalf and build the team around them. The Sharks have Daniel Atkinson and Trindall on their books and can’t keep both, so the Warriors should go hard for Trindall and see if they can pry him away from the Shire to be their main man on a long-term deal.
Nope. extended his contract with Sharks to 2028.

Setu Tu off to Tigers on a 2 year deal. Thats the Brisbane Tigers. I thought he was one of our promising wingers that had a pathway to the NRL now that Montoya's gone...

Yeah I think Tu is a great talent and can make a ripple in ESL if he wanted to.
The Warriors have too many options in front of him.

What are our wing options? DWZ, Pasikala, Kosi, plus a bunch of guys that aren't wingers but can play half a game on the wing if there are injuries. Not a lot of depth there
Our depth for specialist wingers can be offset with a good makeshift or two.

Wingers: DWZ, Kosi, Pasikala, Kali.
Makeshifts: Graham-Taufa, RTS, Tuaupiki, Pompey

Setu is 26 , Was he a late bloomer? Times not on his side.

I wonder which side had a change of heart, Setu or club? Especially since he re-signed earlier.
