Really unsure about how I feel about this signing. I think mostly "underwhelmed". I'm ok we signed a specialist centre (although a wing would have been good) and I've seen this guy have some really good games for Manly (bar that "one"). I'm assuming we picked him up super cheap.

Club announcement on Morgan Harper:

Harper signed for 2025 season

26-year-old has amassed 64 first-grade appearances and scored 19 tries since making his NRL debut with Canterbury Bankstown.
He played 54 times for Manly Warringah from 2020-2023 before moving to Parramatta last season while he has also represented the Māori All Stars.

Harper has linked with the Warriors just two weeks after lining up against them for Melbourne in the Preseason Challenge clash in Hamilton on February 15.
“Morgan boosts our depth in the outside backs bringing significant first-grade experience with him,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.

A Ngaruawahia Panthers junior, Harper has also played 69 New South Wales Cup games for the Bulldogs, Blacktown Sea Eagles and Eels.
“Morgan’s a great acquisition and we’re thrilled to have him on board with us,” said One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster.
“He’ll not only add to the competition in the centres but his knowledge over a number of years with different clubs will be invaluable.”
Of Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngāti Tūwharetoa descent, Harper played for the Māori All Stars in 2022-2023 when current Warriors James Fisher-Harris, Chanel Harris-Tavita, Dylan Walker, Erin Clark and Adam Pompey were among his teammates.

I can't believe it. This dude is worse than Dane Nielsen. Absolutely shocker. I hope I'm proved wrong but I doubt it....I'm going into this NRL season with my lowest levels of enthusiasm + optimism in many years, and this just dropped me down another notch.

Dylan Walker gone, effective immediately:

Walker granted early release

One New Zealand Warriors utility Dylan Walker has been granted an early release on compassionate grounds to return to Australia immediately.
The 30-year-old joined the club on a three-year deal at the start of the 2023 season.
“We were keen for Dylan to stay until the end of the season but we appreciate why he needs to return to Sydney,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.

“We’ve really enjoyed having him at our club and he has given us tremendous service. He goes with our support and best wishes.”
Walker, a 232-game NRL veteran, joined the Warriors after 124 appearances for Manly Warringah.
His 46th and final match for the Warriors was Friday night’s 14-6 win over the Roosters at Go Media Stadium.
