We haven't had many dragons make it onto these SEN Tier lists for 2025, but pretty happy Kyle finally gets a shout-out:

This year is his real litmus test. Hunt over dominated the halves calling last year so if paired with the right acquisition let’s see what happens. He won’t be a 14 as Liddle and Cook should share that.
He is a good defender, wouldn’t be surprised if they try to bulk him up into a 13 down the track.

Kyle isn't the greatest half in the league, but he's not terrible either. I'm happy with him ahead of the likes of Croft, Ilias and especially Doueihi. This year he proved a steady player for us - very solid defender, decent quality ballplayer/distributor on his left edge with an ability to straighten the attack and take the line on himself. Short kicking game is also good, however long kicking pretty poor, and he's a decent goalkicking option too. Paired with a dynamic halves partner who possesses a strong long kick (Atkinson pretty pls) then I'm perfectly content keeping him in the halves. As long as he doesn't bite too many noses

If it’s a swap of Doueihi for Bird I think we are ahead. Depends on which one of them blows out a severe injury first.

We are probably getting a 6/7 from you guys, though maybe not for 2025. But Rome wasn't built in a day and at the moment Kyle is doing a job for us and doing okay. After a dozen years of ineptitude, we have learnt to be patient.

Blake Solly was on SEN this afternoon & he confirmed Illias is signed for 2025 but was given permission to speak to other clubs & if he can secure a long term deal in his favoured position in the halves they would not stand in his way. So i guess the ball is in Flanno’s court if he thinks he is the one for us going forward.

Ilias is very average. But he may be acquired for cover.

I dont think he is Flanno's preference eith as he has been available for some time. Atkinson is my choice out of who is available.

We cant fit Ilias & Atkinson, I think its 1 or the other.. we now know Ilias is available for 2025.. but we dont know if the sharks will let Atkinson do the same... hopefully it doesnt drag on too long.. rly do wanna get cracking on pre-season with a set spine.

Has it occurred to anyone else that if we get who we want now, Atkinson, and combine him over the next three years with LKT, Loko, the Couchmans, (and May?) we could be looking at a couple of semi-final encounters with Cronulla in the years to come. It looks like a certainty to me.

I think in fairness to Ilias, there were other factors in play at Souths and it was easy to pin the blame on him. There was at least 2 other big names who were underperforming and very untouchable

I think Cody gets a bit of a free ride. I think he is past it, and it will show next year.
