Souths are much, much better than what they showed last night. Melbounre can make the very best look that average in mexico. However canberra are playing some great footy.

I certainly don't agree that a melbourne and dogs GF is certain. I think Manly and Souths will bounce back strongly and be very good chances for the GF.

Souths will need to come up with a massive improvement to beat the Raiders.

Earlier in the year when we played the Raiders it was the week that Dugan & Ferguson were dropped for disciplinary reasons.

Maguire has a big decision as to who will come into the team to replace the injured Matt King & Nathan Merritt.

Raiders are playing with confidence will be interesting to see who starts the match as favourites.

you've got teams that have been in for way less time than that & have either made it to a grand final or won the whole comp..

so that further exacerbates the absurdity of the situation.. you're averaging less than 1 finals game every 6 years...


and we actually lost 4 in a row from 06-09 (counting the prelim final we lost in 06 vs the cheating storm..) which is 4 over 4 years... or an average of 1 game per year.. so extrapolate that out over the 25 years, and the dragons would have the equivalent of close to a full seasons worth of losing finals games..

Played very well today, totally outclassed the sharkies in every department. You are certainly more than a chance next week, In all honesty no chance to progress past week 3 of the finals.

F*ck it felt good to end that scum bag Todd Carney's season today. The icing on the cake was seeing him get carried off and absoultey abused while he was taken up the tunnel. ...seeing Paul Gallen whinge in the post match interview was also great.

Now Souths are next. It's a replay of the 1989 semis. We beat Cronulla, and now we're taking on Souths. If we win that game, it's a replay of the 94 GF. Then if we make the GF it could be a replay of the 87 GF if Manly somehow get up.

Well, I'm aboard the Green Machine. Bizarre season for them. Bizarre to the max.

Canterbury will lap whoever wins the game next week IMO, but I'm looking forward to next Sat night. Neither side has many smarts or the ability to graft and grind. Could be 40-34 at full time.

I will say once again what I've been saying since I first saw Sam Williams lace on the boots for the mighty Cooma Colts - going to be a champion.
