Did I hear correctly on the radio this morning? Australia winning 26-22 against England A. I might be wrong, I was half asleep. But if that is the score....we've got some problems

Yes that score is correct. Australia were out played in the second half, having scored their tries early before the English team came back with a wet sail. Australia were lucky to have won in the end.

god help us in this international series!!!

who picked noddy as our half? imo someone whose team finished in the bottom third of the ladder shouldnt be in the top team in the country - gower would make a far better half and a new coach next year after the series may be lost (god forbid) is absolutely necessary!!!

i think andos got a say in the selectors as well - why else would his little star puppy be playing in his team??

Australia weren't bad it's just England A were sensational, This test series could be the one that reshapes international Rugby for the next 20 years.
I see tests in Australia with the sold out sign returning, being captain of the roos maybe a public position again who knows.

Once Australia are at full strength for next year, there won't be a contest against the poms, and probably the kiwis for that matter. We may as well be called Australia A. Still no raiders players in there...

What happened to you Aussies being able to send over your 3rd or 4th strength side and still be able to beat us? Can I also remind you, whilst you're harking on about it 'may as well be Australia A' that the game you only just won last night was against England A. The majority of which was all under the age of 21.

competitive games is just what international rugby league needs... blow out scores between the worlds top three teams can only hurt the image of the game, to be honest, im glad that the kangaroos are being touched up recently... it only gives hope to england and new zealand to take up more matches with us without the fear of a 56-10 thumping.

The problem is, this isn't even our second or third best side. The team Anderson had picked is crap. No 5/8th, no decent centres. Starting halfback who should be 5th inline for Australia and a bunch of lazy and old forwards.

Anderson should play this for a team.

1) Lockyer
2) Lewis
3) Girdler
4) De Vere
5) Minichello
6) Call somebody up from Australia, Campbell? Or even play a defensive centre and have Lockyer join the line at pivot in attack.
7) Gower
8) Webke
9) Buderus
10) Civinoseva (sp?)
11) Simpson
12) Fitzgibbon
13) Ricketson

14) Wing
15) Waterhouse
16) Clinton
17) Kearns (I think the pace will be to much for him, but he is all that we have got)

While my obvious Penrith Bias is present, I think this is the best team we can field with the players we have taken.

There is no room in this team for the likes of Kimmorley, Mason, Bailey and Villasanti.

As much as I would hate to see it I would play Girdler and Gower in the halves and run ( ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ) Bailey in the centres. It isn't the best option however Gower and Girdler have done the job together at Penrith and this would also cover Munky's theory of a defensive centre at 5/8 allowing Lockyer to inject himself.

I'd probably run Hegarty ahead of Devere as well

I agree to a point...
1. They can't call someone over from Aust.
2. I'd play Lewis at centre (ahead of Devere) and put Hegarty on the wing.
3. I'd start Clinton and have Petero coming off the bench - just to throw the kid in, I think his enthusiasm is needed.

I hate to say it, but given the crap nature of the squad, why not Phil Bailey or Crocker at 5/8? Lockyer could play 5/8 in attack, with Minichello dropping to f/b, and Bailey/Crocker playing as a running forward? Any thoughts?

IMO there is no room for Waterhouse, Mason, Villa, Kimmorley, Devere and Clinton (to an extent)

IMO these players should cherish this roo tour because if a team is selected off talent not name value then these players will never see a roo jersy again! (exception for Clinton, he is a chance)

Waterhouse and Clinto will play again, don't worry about that (I'd be more worried about Crocker and Bailey).

The problem is, who should play in the test (given the squad) and who will play?

Need Gower at half and Presto at 5/8, i might sound biast but it is a premiership winning half combination after all.

I hope we lose the test series. FInally that useless lump Anderson and his sh*te player get the boot. The selectors need to have a good long look at themselves too, twats.
