Watson was as well, and is just a better bowler. He is quicker, is probably our best exponent of reverse swing as well.., plus Watson did it against the best side in the world. England were not the best side in the world.

actually my mistake ... it was against south africa not england THE TRUE SECOND BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD - the england one he scored 150 odd, not the test i'm thinking of- ... symonds really destroyed that proteas side in a crucial match playing for his CAREER ... a destructive half century to save his career and 4 or 5 with the ball ... great stuff that watson just can't bring to the table

single handedly won the test and probably top 5 performances of test cricket history

symonds had the ball zipping about ... bowling just under glenn mcgrath pace with richard hadlee movement and dennis lillee swagger ...he clobbered the second best bowling attack all around the G ... all on boxing day ... it's just one of those great cricketing moments ... boxing day, the G, south africa, symonds ... i mean, that is easily top 5 greatest cricketing moments in the history of the game UNDISPUTED

no one remembers watsons spell ... EVERYONE remembers EVERYTHING roy does ... roy is a true champion of australian cricket, probably our best bat ... our second best bowler behind sarfraz ... our greatest fielder ... add to that a mans beard and some funky dreadlocks ... the only thing symonds hasn't got over watson is a hamstring injury or seven ...

an attack of Ntini, Pollock and Nel was head and shoulders above everyone else bar australia ... the batting line up of De Villiers, Smith, Gibbs, Kallis, Prince, Rudolph and Boucher was head and shoulders above anyone else ... HENCE WHY THEY WERE THE SECOND BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD

symonds destroyed the second best team in the world with destructive batting and incredible seam movement ... truely one of the great all round performances that Imran Khan wished he could have produced

watson did ... i'm not sure i've forgotten what he did

people forget he was in great touch last season and in the west indies ... he scored a 70 odd when i think only one other player got 10 in the second innings of i think the second test that really gave us a good lead to defend ...

watson just doesn't do these things against the best of the best ... symonds DOMINATED india ... watson just looked good in an average bowling attack

There's a reason he's carrying drinks for the greatest domestic side in the country, I don't see why he should be wearing the baggy green. Krejza paid off for them, but White didn't. Why is there an insistence to try out every spinner bar Casson? Or is Beau's trial period finished already?

Aussie by plenty. The 1st test on a green top was the Kiwi's best chance of beating the Aussies in years. With even a half decent batting line up the should have. I doubt they'll be able to bowl them out once on that pitch.
