No I agree 100% on that. You don't get fit for bowling in the gym, you get fit by bowling and not bowling is leaving blokes with incorrectly trained muscles in the areas that cop a pounding, like the erector spinae and the various side muscles.

Look at Watto. Built like a brick shithouse, hugely fit human being but he wasn't bowling fit, he carried too much bulk which hurt him because it loaded the hotspot areas with far too much pressure. Patto is a bit similar, he is a big lad and IMO it's no coincidence that he's so injury prone.
