FFS Tubby. You don't take a review because you think you're "due one".
Except they probably do.

They review when it's a good bat.
They review when they're desperate.
They review when the timing suits.

Basically the review process is almost anything but getting clearly wrong calls right.

That's why letting them keep their review for umpires call was a dumb move.

Also I've always felt LBW should be excluded for the bowling side and only available to the batsman in the context of them hitting it.

It's supposed to be there for the howlers, not the "maybe or maybe not" tactical coin flips.

I hate this system. How does the captain know. It comes down to how much a bowler sells it

That last review it looked like he asked Paine (who wasn't in the camera shot but was to Smiths left), before then reviewing. probably Paine should bare some of the blame here

Absolute desperation from Smith in those reviews. This would be one of Australia's worst ever chokes if they bottle this. Surely they can chip away around Root
