Ryan Harris' dismissal was correct.

This could get ugly fast on a wicket that as many have observed is a road and a hot day will only be of benefit to the Poms who could further set themselves up for victory posting another 400+ innings. I will be interested to see who of the relatively unexperienced bowlers step up here.

As for Haddin, most know he is a fiery character and chirpy on the field. Doesn't take much to get him going, Strauss and his team know this and will continue to work him over.

hhhhhmmmmmmmm it seems the whole commentary team was wrong, I thought they all were pretty certain there was a nick there.

regardless of whether there was a nick, there was no evidence to overturn on hotspot or visually... so correct decision. I've seen worse, both before video review and since...

the lbw law has always given you trouble eh?

100% correct decision on Harris btw... nothing in the evidence suggesting it should be overturned, despite Warne's wishful interpretation

funny how that seems to be the view from over the ditch

maybe you're too far from the TV

I saw it from the pub last night, on a big screen it was blatently obvious he hit it.

Not to the umpire nor the technology available which is why the decision was indeed correct.

As per JJ, "regardless of whether there was a nick, there was no evidence to overturn on hotspot or visually... so correct decision. I've seen worse, both before video review and since..."

Spot on.

There was definatley a nick there, you could see it on hotspot but I guess it wasn't bright enough for the third umpire. The ball clearly deviated as well.

that's the view from people who watched it objectively...

I am sure that in a pub, with a few beers, and Aussie fans would give you the clarity you seek!

It was not obvious from the hotspot and footage that he hit it... and Warne's assertion that Harris' reaction was to be taken into account was laughable... his efforts yesterday rivalled Healy...

Well there was a mark on hotspot and it came up on snicko so I can't understand how some tard thinks he didn't hit it?? Add his reaction and it is clear to me he was given out unfairly. These things happen it is cricket.

You cant take Harris's reaction into account, no arguments there.

The point I was making (after only 1 beer), on the big screen it was easily visible.

I haven't seen any replays on my TV at home. I'm just wondering if the third umpire may be watching it on computer monitors or similar sized TV monitors where it was not so obvious.

Full strength, light or shandy? Let's be upfront here.

What people are forgetting the 3rd umpire in a referral decision gives the umpire the benefit of the doubt when there is not enough evidence to overrule, the benefit of doubt does not go to the batsman or fielding side in a referral decision.

Reason why the original decision stood whether it was a correct call or not.

I can't believe Bollinger was excluded from the first test

In one over he has jammed that ridiculous decision right up Hilditch and Chappell. Good heat, knock over the Captain, beat the bat and finish the over with a sharp bouncer and some chat.

Now Harris to crank up the pace.
